Did sugar Ray Robinson take steroids?

Sugar Ray (and other greats) were so good due to their mixture of great speed strength and stamina. Unfortunately it's very hard to get all these qualities. To get scientific about it sugar Rays display of speed and power here shows a clear domination of fast twitch muscle fibres (search for his highlights on youtube)
And this... (search for him hitting speed bag)

Confusingly the only muscle type capable of his speed and power are type IIx fast twitch muscle fibres, which have low stamina so... HOW DID HE HAVE STAMINA TOO??

I am thinking that drugs are the only cause of this as I don't think there is anyway to train and get all these qualities, if anyone knows Ray's training routine perhaps that can shed light on how he had all his power speed and stamina. If anyone knows how he was able to get all these qualities in the boxing ring I would appreciate knowing!
    Thanks for your help

Back in the day taking drugs weren't really frowned upon if I remember correctly. Just a regular supplement so it's impossible to rule it out.

If you have fast twitch fibers it doesn't mean ur gonna have poor endurance, and vice versa. There are so many different variables that physically make us all different

Youngin, nobody but strength athletes too steroids back in the 50's. If you look at Robinson's physique he was skinny fat in his middleweight title bouts. He was cut to the bone as a welterweight.

Boxing was one of the last sports to adopt PED's as many of the trainers were very old men that didn't understand how they worked and the benefits from them.

Not an expert on the timeline but it seems he'd already achieved a great deal before steroids were used in US sports.

It's also rumoured that he used IVs to rehydrate.
