Seriously this is exactly what Wilder has done for 5 years if he'd man'ed up he'd be the A side now. He took 5 years off because as his manager Finkel put it he was a "baby at heavywieight" and it was unfair to put him in with Klitschko.
He was sleeping while everyone else was building so now you get less.

If Wilder had fought 5 years ago end of problem, he could be the A side now.

So just as a thought experiment, if British boxing fans are being fleeced watching AJ take on the likes of Klitschko or Takam, what does that say about the US fans who have yet to see their guy fight anyone comparable? Wilder is 4 years older and far deeper into his professional career. Which of these fighters has been carefully kept from danger?

As for the better together argument, next year AJ could fight Parker for another version of the title, thena big grossing domestic tie, for example the winner of Haye Bellew, then take a wba mandatory. Each of them would net him 8 times what wilder is making or maybe more. Each of them, properly marketed will enhance his commercial pull. He can leave wilder out in the cold and let him continue to squawk until such time as the US networks put up serious money.

They are the two best in heir division, but at present they are not in the same comercial ball park. That's not all Wilders fault, but if he'd have been taking on better fighters 20 fights into his professional career, as AJ is currently doing, he'd be in a far stronger position today to back up his words with meaningful figures.

Hearn is and rightfully so delaying this matchup as much as possible, however, demand and Wilder's public call outs are making this more difficult. Ideally Hearn would have Joshua fight Parker, Fury and Haye before Wilder but this won't happen. 2018 gonna be sick for HW boxing

I get the distinct feeling Wilder is going to dance around committing to this fight, not because he is scared, but because his team knows they need to gain more leverage in negotiations..at the moment AJ is the golden boy.
Pretty much this. Wilder is not going to sell out any place in the US and nobody here knows who Joshua is. Meanwhile, AJ will sell out anywhere in the UK. Fight would have to be 5pm ET. There is no way around that.

Joshua's handlers are doing a great job of getting his face out there: TV commercials, advertisements, etc. I would love to see Deontay's handlers doing the same thing. AJ does have the Klitschko win, granted a 40 year old Klitschko, but still Dr. Steelhammer, and Wilder doesn't have a similar win.

Deontay needs to take the smaller slice of the pie. As many have said on here, AJ makes a ton more money, like it or not.

Wilder doesn't have any fans to fleece.

Wilder thinks AJ shook its funny , he gonna stay wildin and gonna turn into a walking joke by the end of it once he gets spanked in a few rounds and you see the difference in class !! Its gonna be an embarrassment to america an a proud funny moment for the UK

Hearn can buy any fight he wants. He dont want this fight, even though its the biggest and only fight to be made.

Why cant they just let the winner get more money? Isnt that what prize fighting is about, winner gets a bigger prize?
