I am starting to think this is who Jacob is as a fighter. He gets carried away in his fights, and throws these wild swinging punches. I am afraid a smart fighter with some pop might catch him between those punches. To rise to next level he's gonna have to cut that part out his game and throw more straight punches. A fight between him and Jermall Charlo would be interesting.

I agree. And to be honest i want impressed at all with the Trout fight. I felt Trout won but neither one seemed to even want the win.

Danny should be in there too

          He is a limited fighter...

He is wild & slaps--Lets get it out here,,,

He like a lot of other large framed guys--Like to box middle weights

When they are light heavy weight...I heard Lamply keep repeating ..When he fought GGG he was 10 pounds heavier....

NO NO He was well in the 180's... If he were good he would be in the SUPER middle weights ...

I am an older man so I don't like the new Cheat rule..

And I'll never forget how he left a belt behin\d to be that weight.

He had Height Reach Time & LITTLE sea there fists feeding his ass.

And he still lost.. Charlo..Will beat his Ass..What happen to that call out????

I always said Charlo would give Jacobs fits because of style

he will offset/negate a lot of the things that work for Danny

            good fight

Did HBO announce fight night weights? I thought he looked bigger when he fought Golovkin. The Sky commentator mentioned something about Jacobs becoming a vegetarian for this fight?

If you can make 160, and stay healthy for 12 rounds..... then you are a middleweight, NO QUESTION

he made weight, and then went 12 rounds with Golovkin

we heard those exact same excuses regarding Canelo at 154

it is impossible for every fighter to miraculously weigh the same

in EVERY division..... you get slightly bigger guys, and you get slightly smaller guys..... at 160, Jacobs is a slightly bigger guy

                so what..... ?

I did not hear one single person cry about that BEFORE Golovkin went life and death with him

Danny Jacobs is a middleweight, no question..... the size issue is just an excuse

back in the day we had 8 original divisions, and much larger weight disparity between fighters..... and yet, I don't hear none of those guys crying because somebody was a couple of pounds heavier

apparently Golovkin can KTFO light heavyweights, blah blah..... well, those guys must have been rubbish..... and after all that "154-168" talk, it is somewhat amusing to hear weight being used as an excuse for guys in his own division

how the hell was he ever going to live with Andre Ward..... who is MUCH bigger, and MUCH better..... than Danny Jacobs?

Yes, that is what i am saying. To be chinny and get carried away like that is not a good combination.

There is NO way Jacobs gets the winner of Lemieux and Saunders, and they ain't scared its just business. The winner of that fight either getting Canelo or GGG 100%. Why isn't Jacobs going after Charlo or Murata he could make a hell of a statement there.
