Jacobs was a lot bigger but he beat him in every department. Arias fought not to get stopped. Good performance by Jacobs but boring fight.

I disagree. Jacobs himself is a B level guy. Maybe B+ on a good day. Lemieux is a C level guy. Maybe C+ because he does have athleticism and power that makes him a live dawg against better fighters. As for Saunders, we’re not aware of what his ceiling is. So it’s hard to fairly place a label on him. But the eye test tells me he’s not very good.

Should Arias get credit for going 12 with DJ since all the hype for DJ comes from his fan boys who think he won for surviving GGG without getting KO'd?

Run, hug, survive....seems to be some sort of victory for the same subset type of fans...🤔

I think David is a potential bad style matchup for Jacobs! Not saying that Jacobs couldn't or won't win that fight. He would just have to be smart about his attack and defense! I do think Jacobs can get that strap though if Canelo or GGG don't ask for that fight. But Jacobs is going to need a belt if he wants GGG or Canelo to fight him.

I scored seven rounds for Jacobs against GGG. Had a hard time giving Arias one round last night.

Yes it would be. But so far I see a lot of hype around the Charlo brothers and not a lot of quality opponents to justify it. They never fought Lara, Andrade, Canelo, but somehow they get a lot of glory. Jacobs is better than anyone they ever fought.

Yeah, i don't like his shoe shining and wild swinging. Arias is the type of fighter you pick apart technically by setting traps, feints and such. Jacob didn't show that. He was in there trying to bully Arias, but Arias was light on his feet so that didn't work well for Jacobs.

Jacobs had one thing on his mind and it was to get a KO. He let his ego get the best o of him. He still did a lot of good things but I agree, those wild slapping shots wasn't impressive.
