What about Keith Thurman? His wins over a prime Porter and undefeated Garcia must trump Horn's win over an ATG who is clearly on the downside. Dethroning a legend is cool and all but isn't a barometer for determining a guy's ranking. I might agree with you if it was 3 or 4 years ago. Either way, Horn is talking to keep himself relevant so I can't blame the guy. Peace.

Things more credible than box rec rankings = an Adelaide Byrd scorecard, a Freddie Risch prediction, anything Oscar delahoya says, a Luis Ortiz ped test excuse, a Floyd mayweather retirement. Feel free to add to the list.

Then that means thurmans #1 then,I didn't check, my point was simply that whatever it has them rated at makes sense, thurman is 10x better & EVERYONE knows it,& if it does have him as #1 then that's obviously because his multiple belts & wins weigh more than 1 win vs pac. I don't have the list memorized I assumed this twat Horny jeff was saying the truth, but my point remains if hes #2 its only because he beat pac & spence only beat brook.

As I said I don't view the list as who would beat who as CLEARLY its only about who has the best resume on points, imo it's pointless to have a p4p based on who beats who hypothetically anyways as it'll always be speculation just like everyone was saying ggg would ko Canelo despite him being lineal & p4p#1 & they were all proven way wrong.

It's just like football, the Fifa ranking is far from perfect, but its semi fair regardless as everyone has the same opportunities to gain pts,if fifa ranked countries based on opinions like most p4p list or even wbc for example they would always have the same powerhouse countries ranked top 10 even though Netherlands didn't qualify & they've been semi finalist or finalist regularly,or Italy probably won't qualify this time but they'd surely be in top 10 of most rankings if based on opinions.

Look at the wbc & how they are a joke rankings, they had Stiverne as #1 & heiland as #1 to Charlo. If wbc went of anyone in top 10 on boxrec it'd have been way more challenging 4 both of those.

Read my reply to trouser python. As I said I didn't look at the ranking & I was merely stating that it's only a p4p based on resume & its not perfect. I am 1000% sure most the orgs top 5s would beat Horny jeff.

I hope this site is making a boatload of cash by runnning these Top Rank ads. Giving Jeff Horn some credibility as if theres even a question that he lost 8-9 rounds. Enjoy the money for selling out Boxing.

All I am saying once & for all is that the boxrec computer is just that a computer that treats EVERYONE equally without favoritism that humans always will have.

It rates fighters based on resume ONLY & assigns them a rating on 5 star system, then it adds points based on who they beat & margin of victory. Then the computer resets itself every day & recalculates every ranking.

If lets say ggg beat brook & it gave him certain amount of pts because brook was undefeated champ & was tkod, then brook lost to Spence in next fight & lost his belt it will take away pts from ggg not just brook, same goes for all prior opponents,if GGGS opponents keep losing to bums then gggs pts go down each time, but if he keeps winning it won't matter as much.

Seldom have p4p rankings meant anything when espn, ring etc. make them, but boxrec is usually more relevant as to who beats who, sometimes its wrong af too. Boxrec didn't have chocolatito p4p#1 like Ring/espn etc. did, they all CLAIMED he was robbed vs rungvasai then they jumped off bandwagon when he got ko'd & now hes not p4p anywhere suddenly.
