None of the fighters under Haymon are stars. Nothing against them cause they are all very good fighters but they are not stars. For as good as Haymon is at what he does he hasn't been able to properly promote any of those fighters. Most of those fighters are unknown to the casual fans.
In the last 20 years the only fighters to consistently do that have been Floyd Mayweather, Anthony Joshua in the UK, and seemingly Saul Alvarez (if his numbers hold going forward).

Klitschko's could do monster business in Germany, Manny and and Miguel Cotto could do good business if set up right, but if that's the definition that we're going with, you're literally talking about one name up until recently.

Wilder didn't pack in the full 18k for the Stiverne rematch, but he still put 11k into the building, selling tickets $400-$50.

Saul Alvarez is clearly a bigger star than Wilder at this point, but don't act as if anyone else from Golden Boy is close to Wilder (David Lemieux and the business he does in Montreal is the only thing that Golden Boy has that's even close).

Wilder has likely been sitting on $1m+ gates since picking up the title if I had to guess. Deny him his props if you want

Bro I agree Wilder should be more popular But my question to Oscar is this. What the Hekk were you doing in those first 33 fights you had him?? That's more than enough fights to make him a bigger star but you did nothing to grow his brand. Joshua has 20 fights and bringing in numbers and fought Klitschko. Wilder sparred with Klitschko and you still didn't get him a fight with him. Sorry not sorry Oscar you had your chance!!

You said last 20 years so I'll have to thrown in Oscar De la Hoya and Mike Tyson. A superstar is someone who can sell tixs and ppv's and is widely known among fans and casuals alike. I never said Golden Boy promotions has another Super Star besides Canelo.
But what I am saying is that Wilder is clearly not a Super Star and nobody under Haymon is A superstar.

Oscar didn't make Canelo though. He was already a budding star in Mexico and Schaefer/Floyd basically helped launch him in the US to stardom (where Oscar then showed up with the finished product, jumping to HBO). You can't earnestly give the man credit for Canelo if we're being honest (note how the Mexican TV deal is directly through Canelo and how HBO only signed Canelo to a longterm deal).

Weighing Oscar's actual resume against Haymon's actual resume and there's no question who's come closest to making the next star.

You can spin it any way you want but the fact remains Canelo blew up under Golden Boy promotions.
And as far as Al Haymon creating a star well I'm still waiting... Not saying he can't but I'm still waiting...

Canelo blew up when Oscar wasn't there; if you want to keep giving Oscar credit for someone else's work, that's on you.

AJ Makes around 20 Mil dollars per fight now. He wouldn't have to beg for anything. The one who is begging is Deon the NFL player
