Comments Thread For: Roach Stands Firm That Pacquiao Should Face Horn or Retire

Manny Pacquiao's trainer over the past 16 years, Freddie Roach, is advising his fighter to retire from boxing in the aftermath of a rematch with WBO welterweight world champion Jeff Horn, which may or may not happen. Horn (17-0-1, with 11 KO's) shocked the sport by winning an unexpected twelve round unanimous decision, although viewed as controversial, over Pacquiao (59-7-2, 38 KO's), who will turn 39 in December.

I'd still like to see Pac-Crawford given that Manny barely trained for Horn and still clearly won.

T-Bud at 147 WILL NOT be as dominant at 147 as he was at 135 and 140. Pac is still a huge order for him.

Joke coach thinks he made GSP in a killer now, so he's dumping Pacquiao like yesterday's garbage.

Pac is done, he’ll announce it this year or early new year. He doesn’t want it any more, if he keeps going he’ll end up like RJJ, would be sad

Or maybe wanting his fighter to go out into the sunset not receiving anymore punishment like Emmanuel Stewart to Thomas Hearns.

pac will be easy work for Crawford at this stage. Crawford will beat pac in a similar fashion to how pac beat delahoya.

135,140 to 147 is a huge step up. Crawford's really good but is he great? We shall see

Pac's move up and down weight classes with his resume - solidified him as the GOAT lb for lb already... doesn't matter what he does at this point... the fact that he made Floyd duck him for 5 years and then beat Floyd with one arm solidified his legacy as the GOAT.

P.S. Pac would have KO'd McGregor in one round and Floyd lost 4 rounds, got hurt to the body and had to go 10 with him...
