Former Middleweight champion Daniel Jacobs made a statement regarding the highly regarded Jermall Charlo.

I see this fight happening but can't figure out how or when, Charlo is a mando to GGG. GGG is waiting for Canelo, Charlo/canelo isnt going to happen if canelo beats GGG (The infighting between Canelo and WBC), so the only hope is for GGG to win the canelo rematch or if Charlo decides to take the Jacobs fight regardless of the GGG/Canelo situation.

With this much intensity, it is starting to build up some great fights. Charlo vs Jacobs by all means is not a super fight to the casuals like Canelo vs GGG but it would be to the Middlweight division.

Definitely a fight to look forward to, the new guard in the division against the older guard of the division. Jacobs has been at 160 for like for ever and he isn't war torn or anything close to it. I would definitely make him the favourite.

Charlo and Jacobs are #1 and #2 un WBC rankings. It can happen next if Jacobs takes care of business tomorrow.
Charlo said he's fighting for WBC Interim in February.

Then that would make things more interesting. I truly believe Charlo would wait it out until Canelo has fought or decided to fight GGG again. The thing is Canelo winning would make the WBC belt vacant i believe, maybe then Charlo would go straight to fighting for the vacant title instead of an interim one.

Charlo said last week he's fighting in Feb for WBC Interim.
