There's network interests at issue here too. Wilder fighting outside of the U.S. two fights consecutively isn't something that his camp would prefer. He's showtimes's top draw right now (based on his ratings in the last few fights). Showtime is very aggressive with their bixing bids.

Another issue is the money Eddie claims he can guarantee. I have serious doubts about Wilder fighting Whyte at O2. I'm not sold the fight would sell well there. Seems fanciful to me. The only way he could really guarantee Wilder $3+ million is by putting him on AJ's undercard and Wilder wouldn't agree to that.
You make valid points. I don't see Showtime, or any other network dishing out $2mil to wilder to fight breazeale tho. I still feel financially his best option will be whyte, but like you stated, i doubt his team let's him fight outside the US on 2 consecutive fight.

We don't buy anything. The promoters give us free tickets. We agree it's up to the fans to police this stuff. If an event doesn't interest you, don't watch. The business reality is that the fight will generate more interest with more time to build. Doesn't mean we personally wouldn't like to see it ASAP. Just means we understand the business realities that the smart business move for Hearn is to wait a bit.

Not by his own fault of course but A.J. was 1/100 on to win his last fight .Fighting Parker the early odds say he's 1/25 on .With Wilder the early odds are 2/5 on !
The odds don't are are a good indication of where the promoter is trying to take you!
All this bollocks about the fight wouldn't do as well in March as it would in July is complete rubbish .What if one is beaten in their next fight ? July is off !
What experience do you have promoting fights or working on the marketing of fights? Anybody with any experience in the field would agree the fight would generate more money later in the year than it would generate being next.

So are you simply offering the uneducated guess of a random fan? How would you really have any idea when the fight would generate more revenue?
