Agree, but what we want and what makes sense is 2 totally different things. How is Wilder going to become a bigger name in the UL fighting J.Miller, Who's known less than he is?? Trust me, I want that fight much more than Whyte, but it makes lil sense to make it now

Trust me, I don't want him to, But think about this; if you're Hearn, you offer Whyte as a pawn to fight Wilder in the UK, this way Wilder's name could get more recognition there. That would make Joshua-Wilder a much bigger fight. Wilder could careless because he's pocketing $2-3 million to fight a bum like Whyte.

Oh I know what you're saying but it's not in Wilder's interest to do so. He'll probably get $2 million to fight Breazeale on Showtime and chill out in the US until fight time. There's network interests at issue here too. Wilder fighting outside of the U.S. two fights consecutively isn't something that his camp would prefer. He's showtimes's top draw right now (based on his ratings in the last few fights). Showtime is very aggressive with their bixing bids.

Another issue is the money Eddie claims he can guarantee. I have serious doubts about Wilder fighting Whyte at O2. I'm not sold the fight would sell well there. Seems fanciful to me. I said in another thread. If hes gunna fight in the UK why not the Haye/Bellew winner. Whytes never headlined anything, only time hes ever it was rumoured got cancelled for poor ticket sales. If he wants to fight in the UK for exposure, Bellew/Haye winner is the way to go, far more popular, sold out arenas, both done PPVs.

We all know it's not next, nor should it be. But it's a positive that they're meeting already and hopefully it can be the second fight of the year for both fighters.

Credit to Wilder for drumming up interest to speed up the process.

Credit to Hearn for dropping the Whyte nonsense and agreeing to discuss the AJ fight instead.

Hopefully Joshua and Wilder both look dominant in their next fights so Joshua-Wilder can be as big as possible without any further wait beyond that.
