So all those years when boxing was bigger in America than the UK was the opposite true?Originally posted by SnoopySmurfThe quote already answers your question. Americans have a lot more things to do and more places to go to in this big ass country than the little island Britain is on.
Was there more to do in Britain during the 50's than in America?
Or are you just talking out your arse?Comment

Doesn't matter much we invest. All our best athletes quit playing soccer when they're 6 and focus on other sportsI literally just provided you with a source to suggest otherwise you utter moron. Wilder primarily fights on Showtime and Wilder is Showtime's most popular boxer. Showtime costs $10-15 a month, depending on the provider. 900,000 people tuned in for the linear TV feed of Wilder's most recent fight, but Showtime also makes their fights available on a variety of platforms that don't count towards the publicly released number. If you're a Showtime subscriber, you can watch the fight live on your computer, your phone, your tablet, etc and those viewers aren't counted for the publicly announced television rating.
So there are well over a million people in the US paying $10-15 a month to watch Wilder fight. He's nowhere near as big a star as Joshua and boxing is nowhere near as popular in the US as it is in the UK, but Wilder is still, by far, the most popular American heavyweight.Comment

Another Joshua fan who under his year book picture says that in his future he would be an online boxing fan who follows the purses of hvw's before their title unification fight. He even said that he would "know their worth" lmao. Why is it just on joshua? Wilder doesn't sell in the US either. As far as I'm aware, the public doesn't pay to watch is fights.
600k on showtime is absolutely terrible for a heavyweight titlist. Wilder has not been promoted well at all. He's big, he's loud, he's got 38 ko in 39... And he's not a household name?
Shame on US sports fans.
If the fight is not going to be in the US, then build your name here with one fight with whyte and earn 2.5 mil more than your last fight... Which was 1.5 mil...Comment
