Technically that is true but in reality had 0 chance of happening. Wilder would have become the laughing stock of boxing.
Again NO he couldn't bc Martin CHOSE to fight Joshua . Do you really think team Wilder had 5 MILLION to offer team Martin ,because thats what Hearn shelled out . Wilder doesnt even make half that when he fights himself !

And yes Wilder wouldn't have attempted to avoid Povetkin anyway bc of severe backlash of dropping belts to go fight for another and far less skilled opponent ! Some are too ****** to understand that and think its a sign of Wilders courage ,how ****** have fans become ,for real . lol

He said on the show that in an ideal world it would happen 12-18 months from now but will happen next summer since the fans have more of a voice now.

It's pretty clear that's when it would happen anyway, all this hype is just building it up for that time.

Thats not a confirmation though I was hoping a contract had been signed on both sides and it had been leaked to the media. Until this is done its all just speculation, hopefully Hearn can get it done.

Martin won his title on Wilder's undercard. Both are advised by Haymon. The second Martin won, the rumors began that Wilder would vacate the WBC to avoid Povetkin and simply switch over to the IBF with an easy win over Martin.

                That was January 16, 2016.

Martin/Joshua isn't announced until over a month later and the Povetkin purse bid was after that.

So if Wilder had wanted to duck Povetkin, he had a very easy path to the IBF and could have vacated the WBC.

But he didn't. Because he truly wanted to fight Povetkin. Even though it likely meant having to do so in Moscow.

Wilder's actions show that your accusations are poppy****.

Sure. But really no different than Canelo vacating the WBC to duck GGG and his fans stuck with him for the most part.

No matter how you slice it, Wilder has clearly shown he wants to fight the best.
