Oh, I didn't include Brian Viloria in the list of potential fighters because I know for a fact that Freddie Roach is NOT going to put Viloria in the ring with Darchinyan.

Brian is too soft for Vic, He would be KTFO before round 4 or 5.
Plus Vic is looking to move up in weight and Brian is a Junior Flyweight at 108.

Jorge Arce needs to step up to the plate and get this fight on paper. He likes to be seen as the bad boy of the division but why isnt he accepting Vics proposal. The problem is nobody knows the answer to this question and therefore Im assuming he is scared.

I personally think that a Darchinyan-Arce fight is the biggest bout under welterweight. That fight would be simply amazing. Two wide open sluggers with incredible one shot power. Both claim that everyone's ducking them, so why not go and knock each other's heads off? Arce KO9

I would KO Big Donald Hoskins in 5 seconds on his own turf.

At welterweight, there are a few interesting fights that can be made. De La Hoya, Mayweather, Margarito, Mosley, Hatton, Cotto and a few others are within that weight range and could make for some exciting fights. I personally think that Castillo will jump directly up to welterweight and will make some noise there as well. Welterweight IMO Is the most compelling division in the sport.

I agree. With the Heavyweight division lookin ugly, the Welter and Super Welterweight divisions are the most exciting right now in boxing. And like you said, if you have to go any lower than that, its all the way down to Fly and Super Flyweight.

Looking at Dar, he has all the tools and skills to be a world champion. But it all boils down on how far he can improve on his skills.

As of now Dar is a green fighter who needs to learn more skills. It all depends on whether he can improve on his game further or not.
I remember reading a report at *********.com quoting Darcinyan right after facing Diosdado Gabi as very much aware of his lack of defense. He said, his trainer, Hall of Famer Jeff Fenech, repeatedly told him that he should be a lot more defense conscious, adding that Fenech has been putting emphasis on defense in the gym. He quickly added that he, however, forgets and leaves defense on the lowest rung of the stairs each time he climbs up the ring.

As for Pacquiao, I believe, his head movement and shiftiness, which amounted to being the sum total of his inventory of defensive skills in the first few years of his career, vastly improved following his KO loss to Torrecampo.

I think the best way for Darchinyan to take defense seriously is through a call that comes close to one that Pac got from Torrecampo. A KD (not necessarily a KO) may do the trick.

The second and last stoppage Pac suffered (Singsurat) by the way was not for lack of defensive skills. It was simply dehydration. If memory serves, Pac was still struggling to make weight just hours before the fight-- right on fight day. He didn't have enough time to slowly rehydrate.
