Hearn and Joshua have mentioned haye recently so you never knowIf Haye beats Bellew with ease in the rematch, it could sell.
Haye is probably still the second biggest draw in UK boxing after Joshua, even now. He is one of the few true household names in British boxing and he still fills arenas.
As i say, he beats Bellew and people will accept even more the first fight was lost to a freak injury and Haye will be in a healthy position to make moves in the HW division i think.
Also, AJ v Haye is a massive fight in the UK, second only to AJ v Fury. Haye v AJ generates a lot more money from the UK public than AJ v Wilder. I could see them trying to make it.
I was hoping haye would slope off after the first bellew fight
Don't know what it is but he grinds my gears haComment

Which is a chance they probably won't take. Wilder is an underdog in that fight whether you want to admit it or not.Comment

Alvarez and Chavez are both draws and have been on PPV prior. Wilder and Joshua aren't. FFS. It's unbelievable how ****** Wilder fans are, seriously this is embarrassing for you.Count the money though. Alvarez-ChavezJr did almost $18m at the live gate; for the biggest heavyweight fight since Lewis-Tyson (with the casual sports press taking things into overdrive, the hype will be unreal). Beyond that, it's not like the UK will tune out of the fight either; slippage will happen, but it should still easily do 1m homes in the UK.
To that you can add that the North American TV (SHOPPV, Canadian PPV and Mexican TV would be goosed up even further)Comment

You don't follow the money trail on these fights do you? The live gate for AJ/Vlad was between 9 - 10 million. The average ticket price was near $100.
A Vegas live gate destroys that. They'd do between 20 - 40 million easy at the live gate in Vegas. But the PPV revenue is the problem with a US fight. Which is why i think it happens in the UK. But a rematch would definitely be in the US if Wilder won. They'd break the bank then.Last edited by Butch.McRae; 11-06-2017, 01:36 PM.Comment

That would be amazing. Both fighting in each other’s country win or lose... great idea.Of course I want to see it next and In a perfect world it wouldve happened already but I have come to a small understanding of the business side of things. This "fight" not just one fighter has the potential to catch the casuals eye so I think a lil more marinating is needed. Itd actually be cool to see a split telecast with Wilder fighting in the UK and Joshua in the USA, both win in each others homeland then fight each other.Comment

Am talking in terms of getting a fight done in Vegas realistically, which I currently don’t see happening in Vegas, in terms of being an underdog for the fight? Am sure Wilder would be at the bookies.... but personally? I have him as the favourite.Comment

If Haye destroys Bellew next month then I swear skysport/Hearn would do that fight (Bigger payday) than a Wilder fight, I think Wilder is kind of stuck somewhere in the middle to be honest. He need to hope Fury doesn’t come back, and Haye to lose. That would only leave him as the biggest money fight available to Joshua. If Haye beats Bellew with ease in the rematch, it could sell.
