If you're gonna use the figures from Vegas Manny vs Pac to present facts to debate with we're onto a loser to begin with, what were the gates for Kovalev vs Ward compared to Wlad vs Klitschko in London ? You can source the figures if you like but I can assure you they don't compare.

Cheap beer will do it too. What people don't realise is ringside seats were capped at 2k for the AJ/Klitschko fight, with ticket prices being even less than the proposed Fury/Klitschko 2 at the MEN.
I'd expect those prices to go up and ringsides going for crazy money for a Joshua/Wilder fight, it's inevitable, he could sell out Wembley in 5 minutes at the current price. Hearn could probably increase every ticket by 5x and it would still sell out in 1 hour.Comment

I used floyd/Manny because Aj/Wilder is a huge event as well and expect it to be treated that way with promotion, marketing. Its far bigger than Ward/Kov. I was giving Aj respect as a draw FFS!If you're gonna use the figures from Vegas Manny vs Pac to present facts to debate with we're onto a loser to begin with, what were the gates for Kovalev vs Ward compared to Wlad vs Klitschko in London ? It should be where they can make the most, if that is on the moon, Vegas, London, or in the X dimension as long as those waves reach my screen it is all good.Comment

I've seen ringside seat prices for Klitschko on the secondary market whom it is suspected Hearn and Stubhub are making the real money from, put two zeroes on the end of that and you're closer to the truth. You don't follow the money trail on these fights do you? The live gate for AJ/Vlad was between 9 - 10 million. The average ticket price was near $100.
A Vegas live gate destroys that. They'd do between 20 - 40 million easy at the live gate in Vegas. But the PPV revenue is the problem with a US fight. Which is why i think it happens in the UK. But a rematch would definitely be in the US if Wilder won. They'd break the bank then.Comment

Vegas puts up more money for fights because vegas also makes money off of hotels, casinos, restaurants, shopping, etc. Wembley can only put up money in regards to gate and concessions. So as a promoter you go with whoever is offering the most money to host the fight at their venue.Comment

Maybe reading comprehension isn't your strong suit. Average ticket price doesn't mean that every ticket was $100. Ringside seats were capped for that fight btw. In comparison to a Vegas card, those tickets are a bargain by a mile. A fight of that magnitude in Vegas averages well over $1400 per ticket sold.
Live gate numbers are public information in the UK and Vegas btw. 90,000 people with a live gate around 9 million, puts the average price near $100. It's not complicated math at all.Comment

I'd still be interested in this. It would be a proper chin check for Wilder at least. But the risk to reward doesn't really do much for Haye who is cashing out. He aint gonna over Wilder $4 million or whatever it was.
Haye will always be dangerous imo. I'd question Haye's desire for that Wilder despite the sparring footage when he is hunting the pot of gold like all the other heavies. Getting laid out by Wilder probably isn't an appealing prospect.
If Haye irons out Bellew. Wilder's squat to piss chat will be nothing compared to David Haye in full salesman mode. Haye is a popular fighter. He's a definite road block to the AJ/Wilder fight imo.
I am more interested in a Wilder fight. But the British domestic dust up is such an easy sell over here.Comment
