I just keep it real. Both networks put on good fights and bad fights. That's just the way it is. You can't expect every fight to be all action with someone getting knocked out.
But you make it seem like Showtime has all action fights and never put on mismatches. We both know that's not the case here.
So why are you giving Showtime all the credit and HBO none??

        Nobody said anything about action.

What we said is that HBO puts most of their big fights on pay-per-view. So if you look at the list of live fights a Showtime subscription gets you each year compared to the list of live fights an HBO subscription gets you each year, it would be much easier for a boxing fan to live without HBO than to live without Showtime.

Showtime has spent the money to make themselves absolutely essential for any US boxing fan.

Because a lot of these guys are not adults or don't act like it anyways.

What do you mean WE? Who's WE?
What, you got a mouse in your pocket??
And okay I get what your saying. The last couple of years showtime has spent more money on Boxing and they do have more free fights on their network.
I have both Showtime and HBO cause I can't miss any fights. I pretty much watch all fights. But HBO has had a couple of good cards this year in the lower weight divisions.
So for me it's hard to pick one network over the other so I just pay for both.

This WBC WBA IBF account is handled by three longtime boxingscene posters. One of us speaks frequently to the president of the WBC, one of us speaks frequently to the president of the WBA and one of us speaks frequently to the president of the IBF. Since so many of our posts involve sanctioning body rules and politics, we joined forces a few months ago to operate one single account while ditching our previous accounts.

And any hardcore boxing fan would and should pay for both. All we're suggesting is that if you stack up the live fights from both Showtime and HBO in 2017, and had to pick just one service to have subscribed to, Showtime should get the nod. They had the stronger year for live boxing.

Okay fair enough. I don't understand how some people complain about having to pay for premium networks.. Nothing is free in this world, especially boxing.
If they can't spare $30 a month for both channels then damn! They must be struggling financially.

I do them only month to month. Showtime is $7 a month on hulu. HBO rarely even puts on decent bouts now days. Most HBO ppv.

I just can see no way this is not a headliner all by itself. Sorry.

But a borderline top 5 pound for pound Errol Spence against a VERY talented and fearless Lamont Peterson is a fantastic fight and a knock it out of the park decision to see live.
