    1) little 153lb Cotto was a SUPERSTAR..... every single fighter from 140-160 (except Pacquiao) would cut off one of his fingers for that fight..... but Golovkin refused to lift his little finger and drop 1 single pound

    2) Mr "154-168" lied to the fans

    3) you blamed Cotto, and then put words into his mouth..... casting aspersions over a PROVEN fighter..... to justify why your guy failed to live up to his hype

all I am saying is..... you can believe that Golovkin is great if you wish, you can believe whatever the fk you want..... just stop throwing BETTER, PROVEN, fighters, under a bus.....

Well it's not me throwing them under the bus. If they get run over its because your drunk behind the wheel. Cotto, Canelo, Mayweather and Pacquiao are all vying to be the king of catchweights. I don't care for it but I don't make long posts about it supported by half truths, misquotes and flat out lies like you. If your going to bring up their names in your half baked arguments I'm going to respond. So sober up and drive on the right side of the road. Cotto won the middleweight title on a catchweight. He then lost the title in a catchweight. Canelo who won tried to force Golovkin into a catchweight fight. He ended up vacating rather than fight Golovkin. The WBC wanted the Canelo Cotto fight so Golovkin stepped aside for a nice payday but the winner was supposed to fight him. That never happened. The Middleweight limit is 160 pounds. You can't be over that weight. Those are the rules laid out by the boxing commission. Canelo has been getting away with catchweights because he brings money. He finally came up against someone who wouldn't take it up the ass so he had to challenge the champion under the rules of boxing. You should be happy that Canelo started acting like a boxer not a businessman. Golovkin made a man out of him you should thank him. But I see Golden Boy is looking to circumvent a rematch by waiting on Lemieux.

        you are an idiot

FACT: Pacquiao is the king of catchweights, no question

you mentioning Mayweather shows your true colors

Marquez was smaller than Mayweather, the cw obviously benefited Marquez

Canelo was at catchweight, and that was completely unnecessary..... but somehow comparing that to Pacquiao is ludicrous..... Mayweather had one catchweight fight against a guy from a higher division, simply because his team offered that catchweight..... whereas manny-weight (144) was a sham, specifically designed to pull the little guys up and drag the big guys down..... nobody else did anything like that, as Pac competed in 8-9 consecutive weight-affected fights..... despite the fact that Pac fought as high as 150, he still dragged the welters down and the JWW's up

I have been following this sport for DECADES..... never before have I seen weight being used as a negotiating factor in EVERY SINGLE FIGHT between two guys who fight in the same division..... like with manny-weight

how could the boxing world be so ******

Cotto then did the same thing, but he did that in a division that he should never have been representing, and he did that while weighing 153lb's

stop making excuses you lame cvnt

Canelo fought JMW's 1lb over the limit, he drained nobody

Cotto and Canelo are both far better historically than Golovkin..... both of those guys made concessions to land a meaningful fight..... Canelo/Golovkin only happened because the A-side Canelo agreed to fight on the B-side Golovkin's terms..... had that not happened, Golovkin would still be sitting on the sidewalk telling his 154-168 stories

FACT: Cotto lived up to his hype, in fact he exceeded it
FACT: Canelo lived up to his hype, in fact he exceeded it
FACT: Golovkin failed to live up to his hype

        want proof..... ?

AFTER refusing to negotiate on weight with Cotto/Canelo..... Hypekin stated that he is willing and able to fight at 154, but then threw his hands up in frustration claiming that nobody will step up

        stop being a muppet

they lied to you, and now you are lying to us

Canelo fought over the limit so he wouldn't drain himself. Its obvious.
Floyd didn't honor the catchweight with Marquez. The catchweight they agreed on sure as hell didn't benefit him because it didn't happen..stop being so dense.

aaah, you HAVE been paying attention

            props

I am sure you used to peddle that story about Canelo being a middleweight when he fought at 155..... good to see that you have smartened up

            ..... and, so what ?

how does that excuse Golovkin for refusing to give the little guys a catchweight..... but then stating that he is willing and able to fight at 154, if only the JMW's would step up?

The middleweight upper limit is 160 pounds. It's up to the fighters if they come in under that weight. If the underweight is contractual then is a catchweight fight. The rules on maximum weights are there for the fighters safety and provide opportunities for smaller fighters to win titles appropriate for their size. Its also there to stop the situation we just had with Canelo and Cotto. Win a title at a catchweight and then use your financial power to coerce challengers to fight you at catchweights beneficial to you. If a guy doesn't want to give in he's bypassed. Good fighters won't get a shot at the title. If someone is your mandatory then the smaller guy vacates because under the rules he can't dictate a catchweight. That's what Canelo did. Fought Khan at a catchweight and avoided Golovkin. Great for the fighters pocketbook but bad for other fighters that can't dehydrate enough to make the catchweight. IMO
all catchweight fights that involve a title should be banned.

then, why the fk did you run around calling a guy who never weighed more than 155 a middleweight?

                GGG fans, regarding Canelo:
                155 is middleweight

                GGG fans, regarding Golovkin:
                160 is middleweight

                WHO FKN CARES ?

Golovkin ran around for FIVE YEARS talking about 154.

and he specifically promised to fight Canelo at 154

Golovkin Would Fight Ward at 168 and Canelo at 154.....

but when push came to shove..... Golovkin shat the bed over weight, just like he did with Ward..... and you cork-suckers gave him another free pass

name one middleweight who weighs 155 ?

                    just one..... ?????

take..... AAALLLLL the time you need

and then, write me a story about how you understand the weight divisions, and how they work lol

when Garcia/Peterson fought at 141, so that their JMW titles would not be at stake..... was that their first respective bout(s) at welter?

                    careful

put your calculator away, and smarten up

if you had been following boxing for 50 years, like you claim..... you would be way smarter than that

                      only in lala-land does 1lb = 1 division

and you don't have to understand much about boxing to know that
