If another fight makes more money then obviously more paying fans want to see that fight than the one you want. Demand and supply Larry.Comment

From a Fighter's point of view? Study your boxing history please... For most of boxing history fighters were compelled to fight the best with some notable caveats, including in the early days racial discrimination against blacks, the occasional fighter being ducked who was not thought of as much of an opponent but who was a danger... guys like Charlie Burley and Paul Williams, Margarito even.
Boxing history is written in the contests of the best versus the best. Even crooked King knew this was true and would try to make those fights that mattered. Fighters want to be the best! To be the best you have to fight the best! It is management and trying to be lucrative at the expense of the sport that is the problem.Comment

The history of boxing, the dialectic of synthesis to new thesis, is written in the matches. Mike Tyson, a historian of the sweet science, as well as a great fighter in his day, was told by his people, that the very notion of different political parties having a red and blue designation comes from a match between each respective party's champ, one for the red and one for the blue.
When we look at the sport, we see greatness proved in the matches, does it really matter that the first lucrative commercial gate was during the Killian Sullivan fight? Or that sports superstars came out in the roaring 20's and Dempsey broke financial records?
No! what we see and care about are the contests pitting the best against the best. Technique was validated during these matches... Could the wrecking ball puncher be beaten by the boxer?
So seriously people... Wilder is the puncher, and AJ is the guy who has skills, it is a classic match up. Whyte is a decent fighter, he may even have a chance to beat one of the big boys, and the other guys also will have their trials and tribulations...
Right now in the premier division of boxing the two guys on the radar are Wilder and Joshua, and that is the fight that needs to get made! The wild punching man against the boxer puncher, who got by the old champ. CLASSIC.Comment

Joshua and Wilder can easily be promoted. Then it will be the best fight for the money. But Joshua's management has to not be allowed to protect Joshua by avoiding this fight.
And again you are confusing fighters and their management: No fighter would accept their management coming out and saying: "This guy might kick your a ss so we will duck him until he gets old, or hit by a train." Fighters don't think like that.Comment
