  • Comments Thread For: Wilder: Joshua Starting to Make This a Bowe-Lewis Situation

NEW YORK This heavyweight waiting game is starting to seem familiar to Deontay Wilder. The roles are reversed for the undefeated heavyweight champions from America and England, but Wilder (39-0, 38 KOs) suspects Joshua (20-0, 20 KOs) is trying to avoid him the way Rid**** Bowe eluded Lennox Lewis 25 years ago. Wilder made that comparison early Sunday morning at Brooklyn's Barclays Center, where he knocked out mandatory challenger Bermane Stiverne in the first round of their rematch Saturday night.

Wilder is a nightmare match-up for Joshua.

Mobile, Rangey with KO power and faster.

Joshua never makes his size an issue either. he's an outside fighter. WIlder stylistically beats him. Especially knowing Joshua got knocked fetal by a geriatric Wlad. He wouldn't survive against Deontay.

Which is Ironic that Joshua is the most Lennox Lewis guy you could possibly make him to. He's a British black guy with a gold medal and just beat Wlad a Vitali-Lewis mirror with this time it is the Klitschko that is passed his prime.

the parallel here is only the ducking part. Bowe ducked Lewis like Joshua is ducking Wilder.

Yeah Wlad dropped him with the same shot, a straight right set up by a 1-2. The difference is, Wilder will finish him when he drops him. I used to think Joshua KO's Wilder, but the execution I saw on Saturday night was something that shook me to my core. Wilder is the real heavyweight king. That would have been Ortiz if he wasn't on PED's

Lewis was levels above AJ in skills though.
