Wilder is fighting on friendly territory, on Showtime, for a fair purse.

Dillian Whyte has the Helenius scalp I guess, but he's not all that well regarded, and the fight is proposed for Wilder to head to Whyte's hometown, for an event that will likely end up on Sky Box Office (generating world's more than $5m).

Pay the man fair is all.

Hearn's split with his fighters on marquee fights is 80/20 to the fighter (less costs); get a reasonable price for what to expect from the gate/Sky Box Office/etc, and pay Wilder 80% of that take as his purse. Hearn pushes the heck out of the fight, and any upside beyond the expected number stays with Matchroom.

Like I said before does someone really think Stiverve is a top 10 fighter ? Wilder has fought nothing but bums what did the F happen of the days of Ali, Fraizer, Lyle, Tyson Tubbs, Weaver Liston Norton Holyfield Lewis Bowe and you wonder why a Flyweight can achieve more PPV's than Wilder

Out of shape, inactive and not that good to begin with. Stiverne will get knocked out quickly.

So technically he hasn’t priced his self out. He can still take the offer and 1.4 million dollars for a non PPV fight is nothing to sneeze at
First, I know the sport. Second, Luis Ortiz was not the mandatory challenger of Wilder via step aside fee to Stiverne. Third, read all the news of Wilder saying he want more money for the Dillian Whyte fight. Fourth,. Wilder change his tune and admitted he fight Dillian Whyte, If the contract guaranteed the Joshua fight next.

Wilder doesn't need to ko Stiverne. In fact, he is probably better off the worse he looks. AJ and Hearn have done everything short of straight saying, he is ducking Wilder. They are not hiding that fact. What does a ko over Stiverne do?!? Wilder has fought on network television as a HW champ at least a couple of times. Sorry, but beating Stiverne for a second time, rather by 1st round ko or split decision, does nothing for Wilder. AJ isn't going to be any more likely to fight him. He isn't going to get half the viewers his fights on FOX did. Especially with St. Pierre coming back. Doesn't matter if his fights are "boring" he is like Mayweather, keep winning and people keep wanting to watch. He was one of the best for a long time, and now he hasn't fought in something like 4 years.

Its not Wilders fault, he has tried to fight the best, but they all duck him or have to juice up, which isn't allowed by the WBC anymore. Still, Wilder needs to win and that is it. He will not get any big fight because of his performance tonight or any new fans.

Wilder has tried to fight or been signed to fight Tyson Fury, Wlad, Joshua, Joseph Parker, Povetkin, and Ortiz. Literally. Fury, AJ, and Parker all straight said no. Wlad agreed but had to face his mandatories first, and Fury upset him. Povetkin and Ortiz both felt the need to cheat to face Wilder.

A lot of what happened is called ped testing. These guys knew how to get away with it for a couple decades. It wasn't just baseball players juicing up throughout the 90s.
