Comments Thread For: De La Hoya: Canelo-GGG Rematch is What I Will Push For

Canelo Alvarez's return to the ring is currently scheduled for early May 2018. Who he'll touch gloves with remains the question. The top priority for Golden Boy Promotions CEO Oscar De La Hoya is still a rematch between Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin to settle the controversial draw decision on Sept. 16.

just make the fight asap so the other middleweights can get their shot. (Charlo,Jacobs,Andrade)

the fight wasn't as good as advertised anyway.

Maybe now GGG fans can stop complaining about canelo and Oscar not wanting the rematch.

They're better off facing the winner of Lemieux vs Billy Hoe

Oscar: " Canelo - GGG Rematch is what I will push for to be staged in Mexico with Mexican Judges and Hillary Clinton as a referee when Golovkin turns 45"

if you know anything about Oscar, you know his story will change about 5 times between now and next month.

I am not sure why, the rematch was not made earlier! (I have a feeling that the fight won't happen! I think Golovkin would rather face Chris Eubank Junior when? He wins the World Boxing Super Series)..

It's already 100% certain that if Lemieux beats Saunders, it'll be Canelo-Lemieux - that's already a guaranteed lock.

If Saunders wins, then Golden Boy will have a tougher sell trying to push another opponent - but they'd have to look at Jacobs (assuming he wins) and Saunders - both will be tougher sells because it will not be in-house and the backlash will lead to low ppv sales.
