Comments Thread For: Eddie Hearn: Joshua vs. Wilder Showdown Belongs at Wembley

Promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom rejects the idea that a unification between Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder should land in the United States. He believes the contest should be held at Wembley in London - where Joshua drew 90,000 fans back in April for his TKO victory over Wladimir Klitschko to unify the IBF, WBA, IBO heavyweight titles.

Just noticed Klitschko was 41 years old lol. Floyd never got credit for beating a “old” fighter. Especially a old fighter coming off a loss. Klitschko was coming off a loss and he was 40 years old. I like Wilder and Joshua but both of there resumes are nothing special.

          This has gotten boring.

Hearn wants to prolong the fight forever.
AJ could care less if it happens or not.
          Wilder will keep begging.
Fans will accuse Wilder of ducking Whyte and not being big enough. The remainder will crap on AJ.
          End thread.

Wilder just needs to go to the UK whoop one of these guys asses and even if AJ ducks he’s gonna get British fans and be more marketable

41 years old coming off 1.5 years of inactivity and a loss.

Comparing it to Tyson's win over Holmes that he never gets any credit for. Holmes was 38 years old coming off 1.75 years of inactivity and the first 2 losses of his career in razor close fights vs. Michael Spinks that could have gone either way.

Klitschko beat David haye in 2011 in the u.k and was already a moderate European name..when he fought Joshua..I reckon wilder do the same and fight whyte..right now the fight will sell out because of Joshua but in terms of revenue..probably at 40% of what it could be..ppv,live gate, sponsorship deals,TV deal and whatnot..wilder should spark whyte out as he's saying he can and making this fight THE heavyweight money fight.. but right now..I'll pass fury over wilder if he wants to put all the promotion on Joshua and make silly demands at the same time

A prime Holmes wrecks Tyson imo. But what are you saying? Are you saying that Joshua win over Klitschko should be more credit?
