Comments Thread For: Bivol Hopes to Make Mandatory Defense Against Barrera Next

If Dmitry Bivol and Sullivan Barrera emerge victorious from their upcoming fights, Bivol hopes to battle Barrera next. Kyrgyzstan's Bivol (11-0, 9 KOs) first must make an optional defense of his WBA world light heavyweight title Saturday against Australia's Trent Broadhurst (20-1, 12 KOs) at Casino de Monte Carlo in Monte Carlo, Monaco. Cuba's Barrera (20-1, 14 KOs) then would need to defeat the Dominican Republic's Felix Valera (15-1, 13 KOs) on November 25 in The Theater at Madison Square Garden to make a Bivol-Barrera bout possible.

I wonder if Barrera could beat Bivol. I would expect that to be competitive.

Nobody. Barrera could pull it off i think. Bivol passes some eye tests though.

Barrera will give Bivol the toughest fight of his career.

I've seen Bivol fight twice and didn't notice anything special in his game. Barrera might be too much at this point in his career. Let's see it!

They should let this guy earn his stripes slowly before they overhype and crown him, like a certain other EE fighter.

remember broner? berto? wilder? ggg spent 6years knocking everyone out to get noticed and get his first american fight. earn his stripes slowly like you said right? got to american tv and fought 10 top 10 fighters in 5 years and has fought the top 3 guys in his division. overhyped.....check your signature. tank davis is not willing to fight the top guys yet hes all over tv. ggg came here ready and willing to fight anyone in his division. you prefer the former though. lets all wait until tank is ready to fight someone with a pulse! until then tune in to his joke fights
