do people even realise how weak the hw division is?
breazeale as a mandatory is not even abnormal
name me 5 better options as a mandatory
You have a good point, and this is what happens when the talent is spread across four different major boxing leagues.
However, in this instance, Breazeale was supposed to fight the existing mandatory with the position being put at stake. That is why Breazeale ends up leap frogging Whyte.
Should just make Takam or Ruiz the mandatory. I mean if we're just handing out eliminators and mandatory spots for occasionally beating a janitor every year or two may aswell give it to a couple of decent fighters that fought well in losing against top fighters.
For God's sake, please Domonic Breazeale, win your next fight.
If that teacher Molina who make Wilder do the Chiken Dance win against Dominic Breazeale. Prepare to see Wilder fighting another senseless rematch. Dominic Breazeale is a left over of Anthony Joshua, nevertheless, he can give a good fight to Wilder. Put a proven veteran like Chisora to Wilder, believe me, Chisora is going to make Wilder the toughest fight of his career at that point, until that right equalizer end the fight.
Baseless accusation with zero understanding of the facts.
WBC have done shady things in the past though, I'd be very surprised if they've never bent or broken their own rules after a conversation with a promoter.
whyte is on a 6 fight winning steak and just beat chisora and helenius.
molina has won 1 in a row and that was a MD against a 15-35 fighter.
BASELESS ACCUSATIONS NO PROOF OF CORRUPTION! molina was the best man for the job! a panel of wbc experts sat down and crunched the stats, watched hours of tape and made their decision.
Dillian Whyte won an eliminator less than a year ago, but not a final eliminator.
Stiverne was already mandatory and agreed to face Breazeale in a final eliminator. When King Kong's drug test messed up the card, Breazeale's final eliminator can't just be taken away from him. Lawsuit waiting to happen. So the WBC's only choice was to have Breazeale fight the next available leading contender, which ended up being Molina.
Whyte fought on 10/28, so obviously he was unavailable for the 11/4 final eliminator. That's why he was skipped over.
Whyte will get a final eliminator next year and if he wins, he'll be the mandatory for 2019, which means it could take until 2020 to force the fight.
Welcome to boxing.
When the Stiverne fight fell through Breazeale turned down an offer to fight Whyte then took the Molina fight so has no right to have “ final eliminator” status because he avoided Whyte.
