the best example of a fight being pushed off for years and ifghters' benefitting monetarily was mayweather - pacquiao. they made a ton of money fighting relative cans and nobodies and their fights were promoted on major TV and news outlets indirectly through publicity for the prospect of them fighting each other. both guys fought out their primes against other guys, on PPV, for a ton of money. then they cashed out, and the fight generated half a billion in revenue. that might not have been what you wanted to see, and it wasn't what i wanted to see, either, but it worked for them and made them a ton of money in the interim, and built the fight hwen it finally happened.

believe me, promotors are not dumb. most of them come from a legal or a financial background, and know how to plan strategies to protect assets and max profits over several years, something you'll never do if you just match fighters to please fans.
Oh I understand the money aspect. Good post.

However, as any business should strive for, I think the customer comes first. That's all well for them to make money or well, it's fine for them. I'm a fan, though. I don't really care. Without fans, they make no money. So I'm in favor of dropping these time-waster matches and get to the real deal. I'm not saying it will happen, but it definitely won't if fans seem perfectly content with GGG-Wade and Canelo-Smith.

I see. I didn't know a move to 168 was planned. I really can't get hyped up about it. There doesn't seem to be a lot of talent there.

While this would be a good fight I want to see the rematch first. We all need a conclusive end.

Charlo wastes Canelo & GGG at the moment.

Him & his brother look like monsters and GGG is done.

Charlo could be a good opponent but I guess I'm choosing Canelo II instead if it's up to me

To see GGG fight Charlo though sounds like a fight filled with bombs. I'd much rather see that.

                    Any thoughts?

That's one hell of a name you have there, man.

                      Haha.
