It's a really great match up to make, but household names they are not. Crawford is getting there though. Spence's popularity is still growing. Errol's set back is lack of number of fights. Fighting twice a year, and sometimes once a year doesn't get him to be remembered by casual fans.

Hopefully, we'll get to see these two fight at some point in there careers. They just got to keep winning and doing it impressively.

Among boxing fans maybe. I'd be surprised if it went above 400k.

[QUOTE=Lopez_Boxing;18174942]Crawford should not be fighting anybody but the top 10. But at least you know arum. Horn v Crawford and once he gets the belt then he will have stay busy fights. Matthysse sounds about right Brooks done at WW. I don’t see arum matching him with all the top guys and not because he won’t be able to because he won’t want too.
Spot on! Arum will for sure use the top welters name to draw interest for Crawford, but wont make those fights. Expect to see Crawford vs Horn 1, 2 and 3.

Crawford is too small, will get walked down and stopped. I doubt we ever see this.

This is the kind of fight that would catapult these gentleman into superstardom. The fight itself would probably create a decent number of buys, but the aftermath of the fight, how fcking awesome it was, will spread amongs casual fans not soon after.

This is the fight boxing needs at 147, thurman can go suck a ballsak.

Not right now, but it has the potential to be in the future. But who fights Keith first?

It would have to happen after Thurman and Spence fight with Spence obviously winning while Crawford does his thing on ESPN beating Horn and whoever they find while Thurman and Spence circle each other.

After that though Crawford would be the lesser draw although beating Spence would be worth something to raising his profile at the point so Arum may be willing to play ball to a degree, but still a hard fight to make because Arum always likes to be in the driver seat and I just don't see how he is if Spence beats Thurman which is the only time the fight really becomes viable on PPV.

Crawford vs. Thurman does not do over 1 million PPV buys

The best thing would be to put those fight on CBS, FOX or ESPN and do like 3-5 million viewers.

A million buys is still an outrageous number. And a fight can do a lot less and be very successful financially.

500k buys on 60 average buy price is 30 million in extra money with the ppt providers taking half leaving 15 million for the rest of the parties to split up (most going to the fighters).

With those sort of numbers the purse total for both guys would be threatening 20 million and would put both firmly in the top 10 of fighter pay scale.

If the fight does 300k the dudes are still splitting up like 9-10 million between them which is awesome for those guys.
