Parker is basically selling his career in that fight, its a retirement fund. What is Parker going to make after he loses that belt? Peanuts. Fighting AJ in the UK means he basically has to knock him out, winnning on points is not really possible with the AJ hype train, and you might even get stopped like Takam did without being hurt. How much can Parker make fighting contenders in Australia and wherever, while the AJ fight will always be on the table? He is still young and would be a favorite vs almost everyone in the division. 30-35% seems to be fair to me, no way he will take less than 30, otherwise he will just wait it out.

The reason why he will fight in the U.K. With U.K. Refs is because he won't make any more money elsewhere. Who else is going to pay him that kind of money, wilder? Wilder doesn't even make that himself lol.

Do you think Parker would leave new zeleand if he was generating 20 million pound purses? I'm sure you're going to say he would do but I guess we will never know for sure.

Joshua has never said he doesn't want to fight outside of the U.K. He's just said he doesn't feel like he needs to go to America to be a huge star. HEs spoke multiple times about fighting in Africa and other countries.
Lol Aj will run out of credible opponents fairly quickly unfortunately due to the depth at heavyweight.

He won't make more money than fighting parker or wilder for that matter as much as you believe he will he wont.

It won't be worth his while there's high risk involved should be high reward obviously not 50 50 but still a better split than 80 20.

If parker choses he could keep fighting other fighters and will make the money that he would have got from Aj in like 3 or so fights. If it stays at the 20 percent mark.

At this rate I don't see why not considering team Aj don't want to play ball.

But then all the Aj fans will say oh he ducking oh lol

I'm pretty sure parker would still leave these Shores if he was making that much he's currently based in Vegas.

And wants to fight there to so yup he would.

Way to cut off fans and hitting the big time is to fight in the states.

He has mentioned fighting in other countries but haven't really been keen on actually doing it. I could say oh I don't really need to fight there but hey I maybe might fight at this other place but actually prefer staying right where I am.

He's shown no real willingness to travel, want to be world champion have the guts to fight around the he world.

People can **** talk wilder but atleast he traveled to fight in russia.

Parkers left nz to fight in fight the uk

Aj has yeah not left the uk.

Lewis himself said a true champion should be fighting around the world

Mate, the money was paid out at the start of September - more than 3 weeks before the fight. This is part of the risk Promoter's take with guaranteed money - they need to recoup the costs. Whether or not the event did enough to recoup those costs is irrelevant to my point - Parker got the money up front.

So next time, get your **** straight before you yap. And learn to use a ****ing full stop.

The Hennessy and Fury's made what they did after having paid Parker 1.2 to travel, it's widely acknowledged they made a loss. Parker took 1.2m and NZ ppv money. Likely the only reason Fury didn't pull out again as the money was already in escrow for Parker. Moving right along.

He would make more fighting fury haye and maybe even Whyte at a push an if you really don't believe that then this debate is pointless. Parker can't even sell out the Manchester arena and you think aj would make more money fighting him than he would Tyson fury? LOL

So you think it's smarter for Parker to fight three fights to make the money he would facing aj than to just fight aj? He'll probably lose to povetkin in that time. It's a good job he doesn't have you guiding his career.

Who are you to say how keen he is to fight in other countries, is that what he told you? Literally one of the first things he said after the klitchko fight was wanting to fight in Africa because that's what Ali did.

There's no way Parker would leave If he was making thatbkind of money I think we both know that deep down but yeah keep saying otherwise.

Aj is the only champion not to leave his home country but he's also the only champion pulling in the kind of purses he is. Also let's not forget that he's had the least fights out of the three.

Aside from bringing his belt, Parker offers very little I believe.

He is basically a B level HW looking for a payday.

In many ways this could become like the Charles Martin fight, he just turns up, gets knocked out and gets paid.

Then basically retires and nobody cares.

Kevin Barry is coming back to NZ to run a camp so they at least keep Parker in shape (and off the sauce) so that when he does go into camp next year he won't be so out of shape.
I can see that. The fight would be an attraction for sure but just how much money it would make is probably hard to predict. Shame it ain't happening though, would have made for an interesting event.

You really are struggling to grasp this here aren't you, Parker was paid £1.2m by Hennessy, Parker also earnt NZ ppv too, what Hennessy made from Youtube worldwide I'm unsure, it's widely reputed he made a loss having paid £1.2m to Parker.

Hennessy whatever he made over youtube and whether he got anywhere near to braking even after paying Parker three weeks early before he travelled I doubt but Parker got paid. Now you begin to understand why Hennessy was so pissed off after Furry lost, like Hearn when he paid Martin for his belt and Joshua his fee it's very likely he potentially made a loss yet now makes his profits, Hennessy hasn't a belt with Furry and nothing to offset his losses against with future title fights.

Don't multi quote me again, we're done.

I doubt that went down to $600k in the UK.

                      .
The fight initially went to purse bids with Parker’s promoters Duco Events winning with a bid of around £2.2million and booking the fight for the spring in Auckland.

However, Fury was forced to pull out with a back injury and Parker instead defended against Romania’s Razvan Cojanu in a dominant points win.

The New Zealander would have made around £1.3m out of the first fight but the deal was renegotiated when they relocated the bout to Manchester.

Fury is expected to make £750,000 out of the fight on home soil while this time around, Parker is understood to be receiving a purse payment of £1.1m. (Express.co.uk)
