He deserves it. Nothing but respect for this guy turning his life around like he has and bettering himself. Also a credit to the sport that never turns down a fight and gives it absolutely everything win-lose-draw.

He's one of my favorite heavyweights to watch but it's a bummer he lost most of his prime years in prison.

Oh, by the way, guys, even if you're a pathological PED cheat, there are so many governing bodies willing to sanction a fight that Alexander PEDvetkin is scheduled to fight Christian Hammer for the WBO 'international' HW title.
Isn't international synonymous with 'world'? Aren't they both the same thing?

Amir keep the dream alive, 45 and still going for it. He's a problem for any heavyweight, unfortunately I can only see him in the IBF rankings at no.15 which means he is nowhere near a mandatory position right now, I'm not sure how he goes about getting a World title shot but keep going Amir I believe in you.

Believe he can still cause a few HWs some problems

His fight with Kauffman on St Patrick's Day was very entertaining. One of the best heavyweight fights I've seen recently. He has a crowd pleasing style. He's not on a world level in skill, but his conditioning for his age looks to be top notch and gives him a chance against a lot of inactive heavyweights who tend to gas.

He has a great story, but he just isn't a very good boxer. He's small, and lacks the head movement and footwork needed to be successful in an age of giant heavyweights.
