I think your thinking of AJ boxing management that deals with the sponsors etc, that's separate to the promotional company, I know he had some promotional involvement in his last two fights and Buatsi's debut.

One of the earlier posts got it right. He can't pre-negotiate a deal with Wilder for a fight in the future after other fights because those in between fights condition the market value of the AJ Wilder fight. Isn't that obvious.

Thats bs. Granted you can't sign a official deal with money, venue & details like that involved (or you shouldn't anyway one could argue), but good faith agreements get made with final 4 type setups ALL THE TIME.

Like I said HBO does this sorta sh^t at least once a year. Its a common practice & official contracts with purses decided & a venue picked & all that sh^t don't need to be agreed to ahead of time & rarely are from my understanding. Kov & Ward had a rematch clause setup, but they had to still have talks about the purses & venues. And thats the standard in the boxing business.

Conor McGregor had his lil company listed on the MayMac posters to & he still had to give the UFC a nice cut of his earnings for that fight from reports.

No they don't. You can agree to come to terms in good faith. People agree to this sorta sh^t all the time. I was actually surprised the Ward vs Kovalev rematch was agreed to without purse requirements for the winner & loser of the first fight considering how picky Ward was, but thats what happened. Its the more common road taken it seems actually.

Yeah, they can but what kind of guarantee is that? We are back to square one. A Joshua-Wilder fight will be huge and it happens only if they agree on purse and venue.

Well yea if you make a final 4 type situations then everyone agrees to fight or they don't get the fight in the first place. Thats how that works too usually. And it'll be for a sh^tton of money that'll be everyone's career high payday so I doubt anyone is gonna be THAT picky about anything there either. And if they are they get shut out til the winner of this mini-tournament gets decided.

This isn't really that complicated or that unusual a thing. Final 4 type setups happen all the time. HBO does this sorta sh^t once a year at least I think.

We are talking about the first heavyweight unified champion since Lennox Luis. A Joshua-Wilder title unification bout will be breaking all kinds of records, it can easy be a 100 million fight. I don't expect the negotiations to easy.

And there is another point. Hearn wants Joshua to first fight Parker in the spring to collect that belt. But there is no guarantee this fight will happen so early considering Parker's team comments. And nobody knows yet what the situation is with Joshua's WBA title defense. So it's quite possible Joshua's next fight not to be with Parker and the Parker fight to be pushed back to the summer. I think it's pretty clear Hearn will make the Wilder fight only after Joshua has relieved Parker of his belt. And I cannot blame him. Why fight Wilder in the spring for 50 million when they can make a record breaking unification bout in the summer or winter for 100 million?

Chris Algieri seems like an intelligent enough guy, but he's gotten f#cked over by his promoter too. Granted he's no where close to the level of importance in boxing to Joshua, but this isn't a smart thing if thats what you are suggesting. This is an experience thing & promoters are more experienced with f#cking over boxers than boxers are in not getting f#cked over it seems.

And thats not even to suggest Hearn is doing Joshua dirty like he's some young Don King or more charming Bob Arum type figure I'm just saying if you don't take advantage of your popularity, which Joshua has in spades, other people, usually a promoter, is gonna suck up that money & you won't even know it was there for the taking in the first place.

There is no separate promotional company. It's a management company and that is all. His management company looks after Okolie and Buatsi. He has not been a co-promoter of any event.

Completely different situation, I didn't pay any interest in that sham of a fight so I don't really know the ins and outs of what role Conor's company played. What I do know though is the UFC business model is way different to any business model a boxing promoter has with they're fighters

I'm pretty sure I remember Hearn saying it was promoted in association with AJ's company. I may have got my wires crossed though. Whether AJ owns a promotional or management company is essentially irrelevant anyway. You can still effectively promote a fight through a management company. Al Haymon is an obvious example of this. Hearn is basically working for AJ, the same way DiBella and Tom Brown work for Haymon
