I am on record as believing AJ will be the best fighter of this generation.

But ALL the great heavies lost at some point.

I think he loses to Wilder if they fight next year, but I also think AJ might benefit skillwise from learning how to deal with a guy like Wilder.

I think AJ wins handily if I'm honest, it's a good fight though, it's basically a straight shootout IMO, I can see why people favour Wilder.
When you say best fighter of this generation I assume you mean at HW. AJ has nowhere near the skill level or ability of a Canelo, Crawford, Lomachenko etc.

I really don't know what these guys want from Wilder. They cried for him to fight Whyte to make the AJ fight bigger. He says yes, as long as the AJ fight is guaranteed, and they call it a duck.

This sums it up! I like AJ too but it became obvious that Hearn's agenda is to suck out all the money he can from AJ before the situation is forced to avoid more prolonged embarrassment for Hearn and Joshua.

It amazes me as well, this is glaringly obvious. Being from the UK, I am ashsamed of some of these Hearn/Matchroom fanboys. I almost feel sorry for them, they are so brainwashed and deluded by this Sky/Hearn/Matchroom propaganda. A Whyte preliminary won't make Joshua-Wilder a bigger event than it already is. Hearn is full of it.

Explain how it would NOT make it bigger? Especially if it's on a Joshua card, which it would almost certainly be. Geez friend, wake the fek up. Hearn is just keeping Wilder in check. Joshua is the STRONG A side of this matchup, not Wilder. Wilder will get paid well enough, but Hearn isn't giving away the farm. And THAT is how Hearn shows he's a smart promoter.

He's a habitual liar. Just like his father. Hearn gets a flat fee for AJ fights but has a percentage deal with Whyte. So if Whyte was to snare a major fight that would do big PPV numbers in the UK, Hearn would make a lot of money for himself. Hearn wants to earn himself before risking his golden goose. That's why Haye had to fight Bellew before potentially getting an AJ payday. I don't even think he cares that much about AJ, it's all about £££ with Hearn, he's shown that in the past feeding Kell Brook to GGG. I think he knows his entire business model and strong relationship with Sky is largely based around AJ's success so wants to really earn for himself before risking his star fighter.
The way he attempts to twist the truth as if Wilder is ducking Whyte is pathetic, anyone with a brain cell can see that.
