Katie Taylor vs. Sanchez Fight Photos - Katie Taylor won her first world title in impressive fashion Saturday night. The Irish star out-classed Argentina’s Anahi Sanchez during their 10-round fight to win the WBA women’s lightweight title on the Anthony Joshua-Carlos Takam undercard at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. Taylor dropped Sanchez with a body shot in the second round and won convincingly by the same score on all three cards (99-90).

My grandad was furious about Sanchez skirt, 30 minutes all he talked about. "All she cares about is her skirt", womens boxing, and my grandads Irish, fight of the night, proper shambles

Taylor's a beast. I'd definitely tune into a unification fight with Persoon if it happens.

          LMFAO.

But as to the OP: Yawn womens boxing. There just aren't enough top female fighters to give a f#ck about these fights for me. There's lil to rise up to. I suspect a Rigo caliber girl fighter could legit win belts in every single division if she had that as her goal & started off small enough to do it & wasn't too superficial about getting bigger or they let her fight smaller at the bigger weights. Thats how sorry womans boxing is.

i think katie can do that. girl is something else (win belts in multiple divisions, but not all of them lol). feel bad for sanchez as her countryman, but taylor is really good. gonna start following her.

what you say is true though, there isn't many talent in women's boxing. just a few girls. down here we have yesica bopp whom i think is one of the best, but that's it. farias is good too although she just lost her belts too.

              Extremely charismatic lady boxer.
Unfortunately, there's not a lot of meaningful fights to pit her with.
Let alone having to deal with weight classes.
How many women boxers in her division that would actually give her a fight worth watching?
              It's a man's sport.

There isn't that much talent in women's MMA either yet Ronda Rousey somehow still managed to become a huge star.

There is more talent, there is more cuteness + sexiness being sold to fans thus drawing more interest, plus they get paid more so draw more talent (Holm + Hardy have confirmed this as woman who've competed in both sports), plus there is more excitement in WMMA cuz while the average woman can't punch through a paper bag they can bend like a mfer & choke the f#ck outta a b^tch so submissions make things not a near lock to go the distance far too often.

So yea the skill level might be comparable, but there are other variables too as a person who's familiar with both sides.
