i bet that offer is not available now
Deontay Wilder would crush Dillian Whyte. It is a mismatch.

Eddie knows exactly what he's doing. It's the end game you're not looking at. By feeding Whyte to him, he's building the Wilder/AJ fight.
Also, British boxing is full of casual fans who watch what you feed them. Look at how quickly UK fighters are coming and going in the public eye. Whyte doesn't need to have fans, Eddie has the entire UK boxing fanbase, which is strong right now. Eddie only needs to sell it as "One of our own fighting the man who will challenge Anthony Joshua." It'll sell like mad.Comment

I agree, wilder would beat him its the harsh truth of the situation, Joshua fans should just stop being so proud and boastfulComment

Life and death is knocking down someone multiple times and beating the breaks off of them? The revisionist history here amazes me.Comment

Yeah but Whyte went life and death with Chisora and arguably got a gift. Chisora is a pretty good fighter but is about 4-5 years past his best. More worryingly for Whyte, Chisora had him on ***** street a few times and Chisora isn't a puncher. Helenius had him hurt too.
I think Whyte is about a very high domestic level fighter or european level and possibly cannot take a shot well. He's fought only 3 really notable names in Chisora, Helenius and Joshua and was visibly hurt in every one of those fights.
I actually really like Whyte but i just think he's not even close to world level. It is what it is.
I'd say if Hearn was very honest about it, he is using Whyte to try to build Wilder's name for an AJ fight and willing to feed Whyte to Wilder. It's a win-win situation for Hearn. Even if Whyte won that fight, it sets up a rematch and unification.Last edited by TheBigLug; 10-28-2017, 11:11 PM.Comment

Chisora is an inconsistent fighter - he noticeably, and often surprisingly, ups his game when he's hugely motivated by the fight, as he did against both Whyte and Vitali. The problem is Chisora rarely reaches that level of motivation. I think it's putting in that extra 10-20% in training which makes all that extra difference in his performance on fight night.Yeah but Whyte went life and death with Chisora and arguably got a gift. Hearn's plan does seem to be along those lines - either Wilder beats Whyte and becomes much more widely known among the UK mainstream as a result which would inevitably build the Joshua fight up even more worldwide, or Whyte beats Wilder and makes the Joshua rematch even bigger worldwide because Whyte would then be a world champ.Comment
