the stoppage was premature.
however he was taking a beating.
I dont know about you, but theres no reason for me to enjoy someone like Takam being knocked out unconscious. No one needs to see that.
if it was Adrien Broner or Danny Garcia, of course, never stop the fight. People want to see these guys get KTFO.Comment

Yes, i do agree Joshua was gassing badly (although he struggles like that in his fights) but Takam wasnt gonna stage a comeback. I thought the stoppage was fine because Takam was in the verge of getting hurt badly, even if he was still slipping through some punches.Dude was still ducking and weaving lol I'd agree with you if he wasn't moving and was not putting up much resistance then clearly tko should be awarded.
But Takam was still in there still going, Aj on the other hand was clearly struggling to stay standing and was all most out of gas.
That was Takams gameplay to get him to gas then go to town.
I'm I saying he would have won? No absolutely not but he would had a much better chance at a ko.
Aj was always going to be up on the cards no one is dis*****g that but it was the fact that they stopped it when clearly they other fighter saying till had some fight in himComment

Watch the "KO" and tell me that Aj hit him clean enough to stop the fight, most of the hits Aj landed didn't have much power behind em because Takam was moving with the punch taking out a lot of the force.
It's not impossible at that stage with both fighters being tired but it would have been exciting to watch. Aj most likely would have won anyway but it's more the fact that they took that away from the fans and from Takam who was showing a lot of heart out there.
He like most fighters just wants a fair shot, he wasn't going to win on cards he absolutely knew thatComment

In Championship fights, referees are supposed to give each fighter more chances to recover from a knockdown or injury, this was clearly typical of a trend in boxing with over-anxious ref's jumping in more to save their own career's than with consideration for a fighter.
In a Championship fight such as this, as long as Takam is able to defend himself and return fire, let him go.Comment
