It just didnt live up to the hype, was supposed to be one of the best fights in recent years wasnt even the best fight of the year. Im not even hyped for the rematch.
Both held back somewhat, money talks they fought like that to ensure a big bucks rematch

That is true, but they never even really exchanged much. Canelo promised he would go toe 2 toe yet tried to be lara when the bell actually rang. He didnt even try to make it an exciting fight after talking alot of **** beforehand. He was content with making it as boring as he can.

Canelo took zero risks at all. To make a fight great you have to take risks, thats what alot of fighters dont do nowadays. Thats why ther arent much fights like hears/hagler or SRL vs duran

            Took Zero risks?
He literally spent 7-8 rounds on the ropes, thats a huge risk against GGG

He didnt throw anything, he would just stand. Slip shots, then move away . He did this most of the fight, he rarely exchanged. GGG was hesitant too.

I enjoyed the fight but was disappointed in golovkin after hearing so much about his 400 amateur fights ramrod jab monster power canelos slow feet no power laying on the ropes to be so ineffective and hesitant in his attack reduced to a jab.he looked frustrated all night and had no idea how to get by canelos defence.it reminded me of Oscar vs Trinidad were Oscar was so far above Trinidad skills to be a great fight only difference Oscar gave away the late rounds and canelo some of the middle both fights with a controversial ending

It was a great fight. Many fans were disappointed because

                    1. MarGGGarito fans thought he would walk through Ca$h and KTFO him

                    2. Ca$h fans thought he would be too slick and out box him easy

The competitive nature of the bout left both sides salty because the fan bases were wrong. Personally I had Ca$h winning 8-4 or 7-5 and I felt it was a clear win since the cleaner work was done by Ca$h and the better defense was demonstrated by Ca$h. MarGGGarito definitely displayed a phenomenal jab, but his aggression was otherwise largely ineffective except for some good spots.
