I agree dude- both guys clearly lost their last fight. It’s pathetic that this fight is for the title. I think they must have sympathy for Kovalev. Ward blew him out of the water but the low blow bs seems to take the focus off that.

It's not that they have sympathy for him. Boxing organizations don't give a **** about anybody but they're money.
The title is vacant so they aren't getting any money from it being vacant so they gotta have someone claim it to get their sanctioning fees.. It's pathetic that they got these two guys fighting for it.
And I like both guys, nothing against them but they shouldn't be fighting for no title.

In an ideal world a WBSS would be fantastic at LH. I dunno whether the major stars at 175 (Adonis/Kov) would be willing to enter though. Arum and Haymon both don't seem massive fans of WBSS

with 3 vacant that's 6 spots you don't think kov deseaves one of them?( I I thought he lost both fights with ward.but that should not be punished imo)

I really don't see it ever workin like in the cruiser div except matbe 118 or lower. but I hope I'm wrong because I love the cruiser tourney.

Fantastic decision by the WBO, after 2 close and controversial defeats the No. 2 ranking for Sergey is warranted, and therefore the vacant title should be decided with this fight. To disagree is trolling.

Nothing controversial about the second defeat. Some low blows but Ward won almost every round.

It was pretty damned ****** of Barrera to turn down fighting Kovalev over $$... when any fool would know it would likely be for the title anyway.

And geez, would it have not been a full blown boneheaded move for WBO to have not woke up and made this a title fight? I mean geez... they should have announced it that way from the very beginning!
