You have Trout, Hurd, Charlo brothers, Lara in the LMW division and somehow an inactive Cotto becomes WBO champ? WTF, hes not even a top 5 guy at this point
The WBO also has a rule where you cannot fight for a vacant title coming off a loss, they overlooked that with Cotto as well. I don't have too much of an issue with Cotto winning a title cause he's a legit future HOF'er, but once again it shows that all these BS alphabet organizations only care about is $$££€€

One of the rare few times where Boxing's silly corruption actually has a morally correct outcome. As it has been stated, Kovalev got cheated out of his titles twice so he deserves a gimme to get back what belongs to him.

You really got shet twisted here! Neither one deserves a title shot but
If anyone does it'll be Shabranskyy.
Kovalev just lost his last two fights so IDK how the **** he's getting a title shot??
And Barrera would of been fighting for the title but the ****** mother****er refused to fight Kovalev for a career high pay day...
Typical, dumb Cuban Boxer! Just like Luis Ortiz.

Good, hopefully that lands Kovalev vs Barrera or a unification of Kovalev vs Bivol!

I really want to see Badou Jack vs Kov as well!

Kovalev lost a close decision that could have gone either way in the first fight with Ward but that was a straight drubbing he took the second fight. Shabranskyy has no business fighting for the title but I expect Kovalev to handle
business. As a title fight, this is a joke

Kovalev lost two fights Vs one of the best fighter of this generation. I don't think losing to him should make you slip in the rankings. Besides, who would you out at #2 rankings ahead of kovalev?

You can spin it any way you want but at the end of the day his last two fights are losses and he has no right fighting for a belt and neither does his opponent

I agree dude- both guys clearly lost their last fight. It’s pathetic that this fight is for the title. I think they must have sympathy for Kovalev. Ward blew him out of the water but the low blow bs seems to take the focus off that.

I agree losing 2 to ward should be nothing to keep him out of title pic esp with 3 vacant.thats 6 spots no way does he deseave to be below anyone except maybe Stevenson. but when does he fight??????????
