But he didnt land the better punches 10 out of 12 rounds...Canelo was landing that uppercut at will! GGG defense was pretty bad. He caught way too many flush shots. He also gave up on his body punching wayy too early.

You new to boxing??? Landing 40% of your total power punches. Multiple rounds landed at over 50%. And one round almost 60%. Is a stat you want no part of!!!
I'll admit that GGG's offense was not as effective as many would have thought, but he pursued Alvarez throughout the fight.
How could Canelo have landed that uppercut "at will" when he was running for most of the bout? He got it in a couple times early in the match, but after that he was on his bicycle trying to survive.

Landing 33% of your total power punches.. And still hitting with the piston jab vs landing 40% of power punches and not hitting with the jab, because you don't throw.
The only thing ggg did better was in the jabs landed..... and most of those were pitty patty bs that he rarely threw vs others and then when he had canelo against the ropes he didnt do shiiit
Douglas is correct, but these days a guy can do far less than what Canelo did, like Horn, and take the belt from the champ.
Yeah I mean Ca$h won pretty cleanly, but I understand why MMA fans would think MarGGGarito won. They don't understand the difference between moving forward and effective aggression.
Moving forward is one thing, but being effective is another story altogether. Missing punches is NOT a SCORE. Not in the amateurs or pros. Additionally, missing punches because your opponent parried or evaded the punch(es) altogether is a SCORE for your opponent.
So Ca$h gets credit for parrying, blocking, evading all that sloppy offense. Now MarGGGarito did display some defense himself, but it was very clear - to even the most biased observers - Ca$h demonstrated cleaner offense and BETTER defense throughout the fight...but was also definitively less active than MarGGGarito.
It comes down to what you like I guess, but the cleanest shots were landed by Ca$h and the best defensive maneuvers were demonstrated by Ca$h. Activity and jab definitely goes to MarGGGarito
