I wish Abel Sanchez used more respectful language towards Lemieux. Oscar saying Canelo might go after Lemieux is not a good enough reason to call Lemieux 'GGG leftovers'. Lemieux has done nothing wrong, and most boxers lose a fight one day.

Canelo fans would love nothing more than for ggg to fight charlo because there is a risk of ggg losing, and many Canelo fans would prefer not to see the ggg rematch based on how he needed the judges help to escape with a draw. Since GGG has been playing "buddy-buddy" with the WBC, I doubt it happens but I'd like to see what GGG's camp would do if the WBC were to enforce the mandatory.

The WBC have already ordered the GGG/Canelo rematch ... to give GGG more time before he has to fight his mando.

If GGG wins a unification with the winner of BJS/Lemieux would probably delay his defence against Charlo again.

I actually agree with everything Abel Sanchez says. The fight is too important to take risks against lesser paying opponents. And like most fans can't wait for the rematch..

I think you are right and in addition to the Charlos, there are other good young fighters coming up. Canelo will surely face stiffer competition than GGG did. I am hoping the middleweight division will be the marquee division in a few years.
