How would Golovkin have done in the MW division of the 80s and early 90s? I'm talking about guys like Jones Jr, Hopkins, Nunn, Toney, Kalambay, and McCallum.

Beats Kalambay, Toney, and Hopkins.
Roy Jones is the better fight overall but at 160 he wasn't quite the same force. I think Jones takes a 116-112 if he can avoid being stopped.
A fight with Nunn could go either way but I favor Golovkin to stop him late unless Nunn could hold it together the entire 12 rounds.
Loses to McCallum.Comment

he'd have done fine as that era is generally overrated. The fighters there arent a patch on the fabulous 4 era, believe me.I'd have to favour leonard and hagler over ggg. However, Id favour him against all the fighters youve listed, toney and hopkins showed they were far from unbeatable, roy jones would have been tough but he was delicate around the whiskers and i think golovkin could have connected flush and got him out of there. the other guys were nothing amazing,Comment

GGG as he is now probably beats Kalambay; I'd favour the GGG of two years against Nunn, Kalambay, and (barely) McCallum.Comment
