i said hometown attitude meaning no punishment for fouls and judges that loved him no matter what. he was still the protected fighter in those fights and allowed to do illegal tactics at will which he did. just look at his entire career. gifted an olympic medal since american gold medalists are far more attractive to promote. there was one fight he held for literally half the fight in the olympics. come on that i sh-it and you know it. then he rigged teh super six in his favor and fought all his fights in his home coutnry where everyone else only had 1. add in the corrupt reffing that let him clinch and headbutt kesler nonstop. then the kovalev robbery and the low blow ko. when he cant outbox his opponents he adapts by fouling nonstop in order to keep up with them and you want to pretend like hes a great boxer? if he was so great he wouldnt have to do that.
he was just a creation and nothing more. he couldnt handle 10 percent of what he did to his opponents. just look at the bika fight where he was crying nonstop cause bika was getting dirty(not as dirty as ward of course) so its silly to say he was more "man" he was more protected and allowed to cheat and we sholdnt praise people like that who take advantage of their gifted status instead of fighting fair. he refused to travel because he knows his style does not travel.Last edited by daggum; 10-21-2017, 08:22 PM.Comment

I wouldn't say they are all that similar as people or in terms of their boxing styles tbh. Strikes me as weird to say one is any version of the other.

I don't think they fight very much alike. Mayweather is a better and in my opinion a cleaner fighter. Ward seems to grab his opponent every chance he gets and from there he holds and hits which is illegal but he gets away with it. Mayweather lands sharp clean punches with both hands without holding. I much prefer Mayweather's style and his hand speed and accuracy. Ward is strong as a bull and out wrestles his opponents and gets his punches in while wrestling. But this isn't the MMA, it's boxing. Ward has good skills and often lands good punches without holding but he can't match Mayweather's skills and he has a different way of fighting.Comment
