Ward was a poor man's Andrew Golota.

But unlike Golota, he got away with his fouls, since he refused to leave his home country. Ward and his management always made sure he had dishonest referees who would allow him to use illegal tactics, and made sure he had dirty judges to help on the scorecards if needed.

Ward is a man willing to do whatever it takes!

He got deducted a point in his fight against Barrera so that excuse of allowing him is inept!

He also has been warned several times so if he was so protected Kovalev would've gotten disqualified for dropping him! LOL

Ward is too crafty for them ALL!

Yet Eddie Chambers and Chris Byrd are both superior boxers in terms of boxing skills than Andre Ward. Both are superior boxers overall! Both of them were the same height as Andre Ward or were even shorter, yet had the courage to fight at heavyweight against the 'craftiest' of them all boxer and the greatest heavyweight in history named Wladimir Klitschko. If Ward was truly as skilled or as good a boxer as some of you claim / believe, then he would've taken the challenge as well to fight against Wladimir Klitschko at heavyweight and would've done at least a decent job, if not beaten him. However, that wasn't the case! Instead, he chose to fight one of the worst boxers from the Soviet Bloc in Sergey Kovalev and still needed to cheat, foul and use illegal tactics to 'officially' win. Despite being one of the worst boxers from the Soviet Bloc, Kovalev was still outclassing and out-boxing Andre Ward in the clean boxing match (as long as their bout was clean).

Hilarious how none of those that are sticking up for Ward can actually offer any kind of rebuttal to the evidence you have posted to back your argument / claim up.

Floyd is more athletic and can do things reflexively that only more athletic greats can accomplish, though I still put a guy like JOnes as having superior athletic ability to Floyd. But Floyd shows similar chops at this level, especially at 130-35, Ward does not rely on this quality and does not have it. Both men are very accurate punchers, both men are tremendous counter punchers, both men defensively excellent.... Floyd is faster, Ward has a whole dimension that Floyd lacks...the inside game...Both men are technically flawless when they have to be... Ward has better footwork, Floyd better upper body movement, both men set great traps.... Example, Floyd's Hatton Check Hook, Ward's Hook just over Dawson's rear guard.

They are both great fighters, Floyd is ATG and Ward will probably be an ATG, as he just retired so people are weighing in. Ward does not get the props Floyd gets right now for any number of reasons: First off people like athletic fighters: Floyd has enough hand speed and dazzle and reflex actions that make him stand out, Ward actually looks a bit like the film of Charley Burley, a great fighter of the past...Charley was economical to a fault and a stone cold assasin with his few, accurate punches, a great counter puncher, and never wasted a step with his footwork. He beat up Archie Moore twice and was avoided by the fighters of the day out of fear.

I actually think Ward in a head to head is as good, if not better than Floyd, but that is just me. The real question would be: Could Ward impose his game plan and slow down a fighter like Floyd or Jones? I think he could, just as Burley who looked slow, managed to make Moore, a guy ever the slickster, a guy similar to Bernard Hopkins, look like an amateur.

Both guys are great fighters though without question and I know my opinion of Ward is contraversial.

He's a poor man's Hopkins, and Floyd is wayy better than both, especially on the offensive end. Floyd knew when to throw a punch, and he could do some damage.
