Heavyweights have better chins but even better punching power. If Maidana was a big HW and a power puncher for HW standards to the extent he was at his weight, I think his famous flush shot on Floyd would put even the HW version of Floyd's lights out.

You rarely see HWs having a flashy defensive style with hands down and pull counters. It's just too risky at HW.

You need to just recall the Klitschko vs Joshua fight, they were both wobbly after the first flush shots that hit them.

World Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua, however, had this to say while talking about Deontay Wilder:

The implication here is clear as day. Floyd Mayweather won his first world title at Super-Featherweight. AJ could have chosen any weight class below Heavyweight for reference. The fact that he chose Floyd's original weight cannot be overlooked.

For all you cry-baby jobless racist haters of the "Great White Hope" Rocky Marciano, take it from Anthony Joshua.

Floyd did not tie, beat, match, come close to, or even compete in the same contest as the GREAT Rocky Marciano.

The only Heavyweight fighter to retire as THE ONLY World Champion and undefeated.
