The fight is a big is a big money fight in the landscape of Today's division. Toney brings much of that money because he's marketable. Fighting Wlad and allowing him a lion's share of the purse when his other option is to turn to a Brock like fighter for a fraction of the money is simple business.

There's more money to be made in this fight, and Wlad loses out if he looks to move on to a differnet fight. 1.5 Million is a low offer for the amount to be split up, and that's why there's a counter offer.

But again, after laugably suggesting I don't know how fights work, you contine to fail to understand none of this has been substantiated in the least.

All this says right now is that there are negotiations going on, and that's consistant with everything we've heard so far. That's how fights are made.

You want to keep saying that Wlad should offer more money, because a Toney fight is so much bigger than a Brock fight. I think the fights are close right now, with a slight edge to Toney. I see that gap being closed even more if Brock is impressive beating the "other" Ibragimov. Remember fans watched Toney bounce around the ring looking like Grimace in his last fight- a boring, flabby, terrible performance. And they watched Brock win with a vicious KO in his. If Brock can perform big against Timur, then he's the #1 contender without question, and I'd be more impressed with a win over Brock than I would over Toney, by far. I think most fans may feel that way, also, and if Wlad-Brock is promoted correctly it could be a big fight.

I don't know why this is even being discussed. I already explained that Toney is just posing. He's not going to sign to fight Wlad in a career-ending fight with the promise of a much easier title shot with the Rahman/Maskaev fight guaranteed to him. That's all you need to know about this situation. I think Toney's counter-offers are for the press and a total pose. I think it would take 10 million to get James in the ring with Wlad. Watch and see.

Before the Toney fight Booker was heavily touted as a prospect and undefeated.

Before the Little Klit fight, Brewster was barely noticed on anyone's radar and was intended as a confidence building fight. He had already lost to Shufford and Ettiene and had a big record built on soft opposition. In fact, those 2 losses represented the best fighters he had faced in his career.

It's simple business. More money to be split up means there's more incentive to make an offer that ensures Toney is the opponent. In March of 2004, LameOne Brewster was not even in the WBC top 30, was Number 10 on the WBA list. The IBF doesn't give historical rankings that far beck. The WBO had him ranked #2 because he held the NABO belt.

When you couple this with the fact that Nandrolene stays in the system for well over a year, and the NYSAC lifted the suspension early because Toney tested negative for Nandrolene in the follow up test, it might just make it possible that Toney did not, in fact, juice for this fight.

Nandrolone was the substance he tested positive for, and that which the body naturally produces in smaller qunataties.

The medication he was prescribed was Pregenolone.

It was stated at the hearing for the test by Toney's attourney:

"In my medical opinion, the direct cause of Mr. Toney's positive nandrolone test was the usage of pregnenolone, DHEA and somatotropin prescribed by Dr. Gordon during 2004 strictly for rehabilitative and healing purposes,"

"Steroids" is a broad term, and their dirivatives are used for all kinds of medicinal purposes.

Except for the fact that Nandrolone is not a the****utic steroid for muscle/tendon tears. It is only used medically to treat anaemia, certain forms of breast cancer and osteoporosis.

The only reason he would have taken it is to increase muscle mass (though it's not overly effective for that) and to increase red blood cell count for increased endurance, though he could easily have used the marathoner's practice of blood doping for that. Blood doping is when you take blood out of your system, separate the red cels and store them, then reinject them prior to an even when you need extra endurance.
