A Toney vs Wlad fight has a bigger amount to be split up. Toney brings more money to the table than a guy like Brock would.

Once again, For Wlad 60% of a purse in a Toney fight is more money than 80% of a purse in a Brock fight.

Wow that's an impressive list of fighters, Wlad nut-huggers make it sound like his resume is the best in the HW divison. Damn Toney's 5 fights in the HW division is better then this list. Holyfield, Booker, Ruiz, Guin & Rahman. 4 W O L 1 D.

3 W, 1 NC for steroid use, and 1 D that should have been a L, according to almost everyone who watched the fight, except you, Bozo and a couple other Toney lovers. So he beat an ancient Holyfield that was not even a shadow of his former self, and if you say he was or that Toney stood a chane against a 90's Holyfield then you're utterly insane, and Booker (who?) and Guinn, coming into the fight with a 1-2-1 record.

The only serious contender who Toney has beaten was Holyfield, three years ago, who was well past it. I mean, who else has Toney beaten?

If you think that compares with what Wlad has done in the past year and a half, then you're silly or ******, or both.

-Peter was considered the top HW contender, and most dangerous HW alive and Wlad beat him unrecognizable.

-Byrd was considered the most highly regarded HW titlist, and #1 in most's HW top 10, and Wlad destroyed him like he was an amateur.

Toney, although the challenger, deserves more $$$ than Quitschko if they fight, or AT LEAST financial parity....

Quitschko is 2-2 vs. world class heavyweights (2 wins over the feather-fisted Chris Byrd, and losses vs. Sanders and Brewster who could actually punch), a .500 record at the elite level is nothing to brag about....

Toney's hit-list includes Nunn, Barkley, Jirov, and Holyfield, 4 guys who at one point or another dominated their respective divisions

James also has a bigger international following, Quitschko can't draw flies in the US

If you think Wlad' record over the same time period is any more impressive, you're nuts. They are almost identical, though Toney does have a pretty good edge in level of competion.

Both fought lowly regarded world champs and won, both fought prospects and won. If anything, having fought 2 current (1 now deposed) and 1 former (shell of a) world champion, and not losing to any of them. He also fought a touted prospect in Booker and a former prospect in Guinn.

Comparatively, Wlad has fought 1 washed up world champion (I think a Byrd/Ruiz comparison is fair), 1 touted prospect in Peter and 2 nobodies.

Toney's record on the surface does seem a little more stellar, especially you you compare their last 5 fights instead of just the same time period.

That really doesn't matter, though. Little Klit still wins if this fight comes off.

Haven't actually got time to go through the whole thread, so can someone tell me how Wlad is ducking Toney when Toney presently is - with all due respect - jack **** in the heavyweight division?

If this was a beltholder I could see the argument, but Toney's just a contender, and not a very likely one at present.

He beat Ruiz... then failed a drugs test.

He looked BAD against Rahman (a mediocre heavy) and got a draw.

I think that last fight showed that Toney - as skilful and experienced as he is - won't be able to cut it at the elite heavyweight level, even today.

Byrd was the longest reigning tilist and considered by many to be the #1 HW. Peter was the #1 contender.

Toney has failed in everything he has done at HW other than beat 2 nobodies and an old Holyfield in 2003. Cmon.

And I really wish you Toney spinsters would stop referring to the Ruiz NC as a "win" for Toney. He cheated and was banned and suspended. That's not a win, folks. Sorry.
