In the end, Golden Boy was just using the Cotto fight to try to weasel themselves into singing a potential super star like Spence and Garcia. When neither guy was biting they just gave Cotto an easy fight. Couldn't even get Vargas with a low ball offer so they went with the guy he already destroyed. Cotto just needs to retire, this is such a mess.

Not if it comes with an option and low ball $. Fighters have to pay trainers managers training camp etc. Doesn’t make sense to go in the -red to fight a washed up Cotto.

Luck or not, point being is that's his biggest claim to fame and he's actually lucky that the ref ****ed up because he wasn't gonna stop Bradley anyway, but that goof gave him an excuse to cry and complain for 2 yrs about it and pretend that a win was stolen from him.

Vargas is not known at all for his power and although bradley has been buzzed before by providnikov and dropped by Pacquiao they were power punchers, bradley is known for taking a pretty good punch and also it came in the last 30 seconds when most fighters are too gassed to be able to land a hard shot like that so id say it was pretty lucky given the circumstances
