Al Haymon was supposed to save boxing. His top guys fight like 1,2 times a year.
I get excited around March and April, when the playoff picture emerges.

I'm disappointed in Haymon. I was hoping we would see more quality fights, especially in free TV. Just doesn't seem like he has delivered

Joseph Parker sounds like a linebacker from the Jets.
True, he has not been market or promoted good.
And he lives in Las Vegas I think.
So I agree with you on that.
But not many fighters are know to casuals today.

Well the same can be said for the most of Europe.
Besides the UK not to many know who either Floyd or Manny is if you asked them on the streets.
I dont event think many people in American knows who Deontay Wilder is.

        It's ridiculous to be honest.

Ive been a boxing junky for over two decades now but it would be a lie if i said that my passion for the sport is the same. Boxing is still my favorite sport, the only sport actually and im still crazy about it enough to blog on forums but its definitely not the same.

Before i couldnt miss a single fight whether it be on HBO or telefutura. Big or small , i recorded every single fight and added to my collectiom but nowadays, i can live missing a couple fights here and there.

It is like how i feel about music. I used to love music in he 90s but im whatevers about it now cuz quality has gone to sht. Boxing is no different.

Boxing is not what it used to be thats all i can say.

I should have done it when I joined 10 years ago but now that i'm over 30 with 2 kids that ship has sailed. Funny thing is my last shop chief was really pushing to get me on the team but I just do it cause I like to box and keep in shape. I've already spent half of these 10 years away from the family due to deployments and crap, didn't want to spend even more time traveling boxing.

Been in Italy a month now, it's treating me well.

2016 was a terrible year and yes, I a lost some interest but 2017 bounced back nicely. If 2017 would have been another 2016, then, I'd be pretty close to not caring about boxing.

Kind of. I've looked at schedules a few times and thought to myself, eh, until Dec 9th I wont feel bad if I miss something.
