    Cotto, 41-5 with 33 knockouts, will defend his World Boxing Organization light middleweight crown at Madison Square Garden against Ali, a 2008 US Olympian based in Brooklyn who is 25-1 with 14 knockouts. It will be the 10th fight at the famed Manhattan arena for Cotto, who has owned world titles at super lightweight, welterweight, light middleweight and middleweight.

      Omg stfu, he's fighting a guy who probably wasn't rated in the top 25 at 147 and he's fighting him at 154. The only time the kid stepped up he got KTFO by Vargas. I love Cotto and he can go out any way he wants IMO but let's stop acting like boxing fans are fking idiots trying to sell us on this garbage

        I'm pretty sure Cotto won't be retiring. Why would he? If Canelo beats GGG, Cotto gets a huge payday in a Canelo rematch. Cotto and Freddie Roach have always believed that they beat Canelo in the first fight, so if they are offered a rematch they will take it.
        This fight has been made for Cotto to get a KO and look good doing so.

              Seems like a logical conclusion to draw from all of this.

              But that rematch would suck. The first fight wasn't close.

                I only read the headline, but Finally a exec telling it like it is. I condemn cotto to for this fight.....oh he said COMMEND..oops. Nah I'm playing. Cotto deserves a victory lap

                  Young hungry lion that's unranked at any weight and never had a fight at the weight the fight is at.

                  Cotto's last vacant title win was a joke and now so is this.
