“I think this was his best shot [at beating Canelo]. After 35, at that age, Gennady, even though there are so many fighters that could fight at that age, it’s an age where a lot of fighters are talking about retiring,” said Robert Garcia.

Abel Sanchez Laughs at Critics Who Feel Golovkin is Getting Old.....

"I think it’s kind of funny that people have comments like that. Nobody ever said anything about Floyd Mayweather getting old when he got rocked by Shane Mosley or when he was repeatedly getting hit by Maidana. Nobody said anything when Andre Ward got dropped in the first fight against Kovalev," Sanchez said to On The Ropes Boxing Radio.
"It seems funny to me that this guy has the highest knockout ratio in middleweight history, he’s undefeated, he’s never been hurt, never been down, but yet he’s getting old. People are funny, but I guess they hold him on such a high pedestal that everything he does has to be perfect.
"Danny Jacobs was the second best middleweight in the world, Kell Brook was an undefeated welterweight champion who I knew was going to be difficult from the beginning because he was fast. These guys are quality guys, so it’s funny that Gennady gets those comments made about him.

I have watched recently Floyd vs Mosley. After Mosley hurt Floyd, Floyd destroyed Mosley. There was no any kind of declining in Floyd's movements, he was fast, strong as usual. He just got caught.

Ward was not impressive against Kovalev first time. It was sign of declining. Ward's retirement proves it.

Read my other posts. I give Canelo a huge credit. Before the fight I thought that Jacobs would easily beat Canelo. But now I think it is 50-50. So , I thought GGG would easily outbox Canelo. But it was not easy to beat him. It was very close fight. I was surprized how Canelo is strong, even stronger than Jacobs, great chin and great boxing skills. Before the ggg-canelo I thought lemieux-canelo is 50-50. Now I gave no chance to Lemieux.

Just after the fight GGG himself said that next time he will bring boxing against Canelo.

But what I said above does't mean that GGG is not declinig. He is declining and opposition also grows. They both affect to look bad nowadays.

                    you are just another excuse-maker

making excuses to justify why you got it wrong

you both underestimated Canelo, and Golovkin got dished up for his trouble

Golovkin fought the way he did because he had no other choice..... and if he has other tools that would be effective, like boxing..... there was nothing to stop him using them in that fight..... except for the fat red kid who was punching him in the face

Read my other posts. I said that before the fight if GGG gets in great shape, he will be dominate Canelo, if he gets in the ring like he was against Jacobs he will lose. Before the fight I was saying that ggg is old. Is not the same as he was 2-3 years ago. So it is not exuse. If you think I do excuses then no problem, it is your opinion, but I really think that GGG would destroy Canelo if they faced 2-3 years ago. For example GGG was in great shape against Murray. I say what I see in movements of GGG. He is not athletic as he was 2-3 years ago. His footwork handspeed are really got very slow.

But anyway, Canelo was not "much more elite" compared to GGG as Canelo fans mentioned. He could't win even old GGG.
