If you get pay for what you do, in this case boxing. You are a professional fighter. Being sponsored is not the same as being pay for a fight. Cuban athletes are being sponsored by their government. Either by giving them a job where they can easily train or in the ministry of interior (police)

It is not professional boxing. If it is then dispute all of the things I have said.
WSB is basically amateur boxing. The WSB is even used as a qualifier to the Olympics.
It's just another way for amateur fighters to continue fighting because the Olympics happen only every four years and World Championships every two years.
Before the WSB amateur boxers could have gone a full year without competing at any high level tournaments.

Same rules as amateur boxing.
Same officiating.
It's judged the same way as amateur boxing. (ex. if you score a KD it's not automatically a 10-8)
Bigger gloves are worn.
Not sanctioned as a professional bout.

Also, technically AIBA is sponsoring these boxers. So there you go.

Lol....I thought Rigo would make it a fight & out box loma but after the first round he just stood there! Wtf was that all about? Loma didn't land many punches or even hard punches but it did look like loma hurt him in one of the rounds. Rigo you made me look bad....lol....this fight reminded me of Clottey/pacquiao how Clottey just stood there, blocked & didn't throw punches then never came back to boxing.......

Haha yeah he come to fight. Got outclassed and hurt then just started ducking and holding. Couldnt hit loma. Hell he even missed him on the cheap shots lol. Holding loma gead down swung and missed haha. Loma a real deal. Rigo just never acclimated to pros and fought a bunch of nobodies and ppl mistakenly thought he was a legend. I dont like be wrong either but admittedly im wrong just as much as next guy. Anyways... Until next time,amigo
