Yea honestly with how mismatched this fight looked it might be I'd still rather two fighters deciding to fight then 1 or more promoters deciding what 2 boxers are gonna.fight.
The problem with fighters like Lubin and J-Rock is there's no plan in place for rebuilding their careers. It's one thing to step up too soon but the reward isn't worth the risk when you don't have someone to build your career back up. Gary Russell is still recuperating from a loss to Lomachenko. Not all the way back. There was a lot of buzz around him before the loss. He has some good wins and like you said he's a champion but no one is talking about him like they were before.
